Flourishing Phrases | #GDP088

So glad the weekend is here, I've had a busy day and have also managed some crafting, yay! I opened Flourishing Phrases for the first time joined in this weeks Global Design Challenge as it was the perfect opportunity to play with my new floral purchase!
Flourishing Phases has been on my wish list for sometime, there are only a few days left that you can purchase Flourishing Phrases as a bundle, as of June 1st the stamp set and coordinating framelits will still be available, but not as a bundle - I love bundles, who doesn't love saving 10%

Here is what I was inspired to create from Shawn's beautiful card:

I used my markers as well as sponge daubers to colour my stamp and die cuts - I love the effect of the sponge dauber for blending inks, one of my favourite techniques. I lightly curled the diecuts with my bone folder to give them more dimension when layered on the card

2017/18 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

Hello and welcome to the Aim for Alaska blog hop... his special themed hop today for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are in a training program "Aim for Alaska". The program aims to provide training, inspiration & tasks focused to push you out of your comfort zone to aim higher and reach out for your goals and it includes many opportunities to listen to amazing demonstrators from around the world.

Our hop today will showcase the items we have already been able to order as demonstrators, so you get a fantastic preview of what is available on June 1st!

I've made a quick and simple card today to show how amazing the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper is....

If you are anything like me, there are just times when there are not enough hours in the day, and whilst I would love to lock myself away in my crafting area and stamp to my hearts content, there are pressing commitments that I need to attend to - but I need my creative balance, so times like this it's great to reach for your Designer Series paper and create a quick card.

I added a strip of Mini Chevron ribbon with a cute bow - Old Olive perfectly coordinates with this DSP, and what about the gorgeous sentiment! It's from the Daisy Delight stamp set, I love how the stitched shapes and scalloped framelits dress it up.

I hope I've inspired you iwth my project, be sure you hop all the way around the hop and see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Nadine Köller

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Nadine Köller. Nadine's blog had me mesmerised... clean and white themed cards really appeal to me - yet I don't make them often, funny that!  After a cup of coffee whilst viewing Nadine's gorgeous projects I decided on the below card to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit

I love the background effect, and especially the colours,  and how there is a hint of the stamped design, however the randomness (is that a word?) of the technique freaks me out as you can't really control how your pattern will look - anyway, I've stepped out of my "control" zone and given this technique a go

I chose Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum for my colours, I was a little bit heavy handed with amount of ink I applied to the watercolour paper with the cling wrap, and I was freaked out! (hahaha), but I walked away and left it to dry - I was pleasantly surprised when I returned, the colours weren't as intense as when I first applied the ink, they were more subtle, I was a little calmer now.

Next I stamped the large daisy from the new Daisy Delight stamp set (available 1st June) with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss powder, then I sentiment. Instead for "splattering" the card, I used the tiny daisy heads stamp and applied my little dots, then stamped single mini daisies randomly. I mounted on Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugar Plum, then on the Whisper White card base.

I enjoyed the card so much I got adventurous and made a second!

This card highlights 3 of the gorgeous 2017-2019 In Colours - Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist (my daughters favourite), I wasn't sure at first as the colours were so bright, but when I added the strips of Lemon Lime and Berry Burst cardstock, WOW I was so happy with the pop of the colour combo.

Be sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! Celebrate with Ink it! Stamp it!

I'm so excited to be part of the first Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing "Celebration" themed projects, I'm sure you will be inspired by what we have to show you.

My project was made as a special request, it took quite some time, but the end product is so worth it! The theme requested for this Birthday box was "Bling" and Turquoise - I had lots of fun with glittler!

I used lots of products completing this Birthday Box, I got quite carried away!  The Birthday Blast Stamp set and Star Blast thinlets worked a treat, and Birthday Bright had the perfect Celebrate sentiment. The Number of Years set is fabulous to personalise birthdays and anniversaries too.

I couldn't believe how mammoth this was to create, but when you think about it, the inside of the box alone is 8 card fronts! I adore how the shading came out on the Balloons. Here's a close up of the stars in the centre piece

I made little note cards for birthday messages using the Balloon Pop up thinlets, they slide in neatly behind the Happy Birthday Banners cut from Bunch of Banners framelits

Well there you have it, my Birthday in a Box! Be sure to take the time to hop all the way around our Ink It! Stamp It blog hop to see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! Stampin Friends Flowers & Sympathy Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin Friends blog Hop! This month we our theme is Flowers and Sympathy. We also have Lori Schaefer Mueller joining us as a Guest Hopper, welcome Lori.

I'm sure that you will be inspired by the projects we are sharing - make sure that you work you way through the entire Hop by clicking on the names at the end of my post so that you don't miss at thing.

I decided make my projects using the Rose Wonder Set, it is a wonderfully elegant stamp set and has matching Rose Garden framelits.

I die cut the rose framelit multiple times and layered 2 very vanilla cuts together, then repeated, snipping off the leaves just leaving the rose and offset slightly, I decided to a lower layer in Sahara Sand which gives a deeper shadow effect.

I stamped the matching stamp and created a hexagonal box to package a scented candle in a jar.

You are currently on my blog - Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot, check who is below me in the list and that is where to head to next, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Vertical Greetings | #WWYS116

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are playing with Vertical Greetings.

This set is interesting as the name suggests, the sentiments run vertically rather than the normal horizontal direction, once you get your head around that, this set makes for some stunning cards!

It's almost winter here in Australia, so many of the trees are showing lovely autumn/fall colours in my district, that was the inspiration for my cards today. I created two projects today, a simple stamped card then a "stepped up" card with embossing and layering.

I my first card has a shorted card front with the sentiment stamped on the inside of the card - I stamped first then worked out how much to trim off the front of the card - it gives a unique look compared to a normal card, but is still only a 1 layer card. I used a sponge dauber with Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum to create the multi coloured leaves on my topiary tree, and rounded the corners of the card to give added character.

My second card has layers, oh how I love layers! I used the same colour combination from the first card the heart topiary, and created a terracotta pot by blending colours. The embossed background uses the Falling Petals Embossing folder, I just love those little hearts, pity it is retiring (but it is still available if you are quick).

Check out all the great projects from the Design Team click here, we would love you to participate in our weekly challenges at What Will You Stamp? why not play along with this week - We'd love to see what you create!

Wood Words Floral Border

Who loves playing with new toys! I do! I had a special delivery this week - my pre-order for the new 2017-2018 Catalogue, here is a quick preview of one of the stamps available from June 1st:

I've been itching to craft all week, I finally had the opportunity to open the new Wood Words stamp set and try out two new In Colours - of course Powder Pink was first cab of the rank (no surprises there), and also Berry Burst - they co-ordinate beautifully together.

I love the delicate flowers on this stamp, I have stamped multiple times to create a floral border, and then I double stamped using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I just can't get enough of this tool lately! I just love the end result, a pale Powder Pink shadow effect with the stunning floral design popping in Berry Burst.

The gorgeous little tags are cut with from a die in the Wood Crate Framelits - these framelits are available as a bundle with the Wood Words stamp set - stay tuned for what else is on offer with these amazing framelits!

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed you sneak peak of one of the new items in the catalogue. Love Sparkles with the International Top 10 Blog Hop

You may remember that back in April I took part in a Wedding themed International Blog Highlight hosted by Kylie Bertucci, I'd like to say a big thanks to Kylie for hosting the event and to everyone who voted for me, as I now have the honour to be taking part in an International Blog Hop with the Top 10 winners!

As with the original highlight our theme for this Blog Hop is also Wedding - this time I have created something very different to my original project.

Try as hard as I can, I really struggle with a CAS card... whilst I loved the simplicity of the Rose Red stamping I couldn't help myself and added heat embossed Dazzling Diamond hearts to my original stamping! As far as I go, this is still a CAS card for me, the Love Sparkles stamp set does all the work really, I hope you like it!

Please make sure you take the time to continue the hop around to the other winners and see all of their amazing creations, your are currently visiting Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot

Beautiful You | #WWYS115

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week we are playing with Beautiful You. This set has so much to offer with both beautiful sketch stamps and sentiments.

I used one of my favourite techniques to create my card,... masking

I began by stamping the gorgeous birthday, then I stamped on a post-it and trimmed, then layered over the top. I wanted to give my lady legs, so I inked up the lower section of the stamp with the umbrella, and also stamped it on a post-it and trimmed and layered over the top of the stamping. next I stamped the Black sentiment, then using a stamp-a-ma-jig carefully repeated the smokey slate sentiment stamping to create a strip. Then I finished off the birthday girl with a Melon Mambo dress, added a strip of Pop of Pink DSP and Silver Sequin trim.

Check out all the great projects from the Design Team click here, we would love you to participate in our weekly challenges at What Will You Stamp? why not play along with this week - We'd love to see what you create!
