In Bloom with Happiest of Birthdays

Happy weekend crafty friends, I hope it has been a productive one for you.  I took some time out to go through the retiring items on the Last Chance List, and todays card with 2 of the items on the list - sad face. I'll start with In Bloom - I haven't used the stamp set a lot, but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the coordinating Pierced Dies. It's so easy to go with bold colours with these cute die cuts - I've used retiring 2020-2022 In Colors, Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee and my fav of the set, Magenta Madness. Next, Happiest of Birthdays, I really like the simplicity of these sentiments, and the mixture of fonts - a really good set to make some quick #simplestamping cards. The layout for my card is from this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly a...

Pierced Blooms 2 in 1 Challenge

Hello weekend! I had a strange week, lots to contemplate, and some sad news.... I lost my creative mojo for a few days. So this morning I did a little self pampering before setting about my day, cranked up some music and between household chores found my mojo by combining 2 challenge blogs:     Global Designs Janneke Dijkstra - de Jong's card reminded me that I haven't used my Pierced Blooms dies for a while, and I thought they would work perfectly with the CC&S sketch, here's what I created: No surprises that I featured Magenta Madness in the middle of my design, it is one of my many favorite pinks, then I complimented with Mango Melody before finishing with Misty Moonlight leaves in my floral arrangment. For something quite different I made a tri-colour mat with scraps, and I just love how it turned out. Last of all I stamped a sentiment from Sending Hugs , and cut with the Messages dies . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing m...

Thank You with Pierced Blooms

Hello and welcome the International winners, firstly a want to say to a big thank you to everyone that voted for my project in the International Highlights - I was in the Top 10, so I'm back with another  card. Today I've used the Pierced Blooms Dies to create a lovely floral arrangement, and I've moved from pastels to something a little bolder, HIghland Heather, Magenta Madness, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green - bound to brighten someones day! The gorgeous pin hole details on the dies adds so much to the cut images, all that I needed to do was arrange the die cuts and add a sentiment (from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set). I tend to gravitate to make the focal side of my cards the right when doing arrangements, so for something different I did the arrangement on the right hand side of the card,  To finish I added Matte Black Dots for some bling, still keeping the card clean and bright. Thanks again for your votes, be sure to view the Top 10 participants below for som...
