Bloom & Grow from the bottom your heart

Another day, another project - I do like this being on holidays gig, I get to do lots of mid week crafting! Todays card is inspired by the colour challenge at Fab Friday , when I saw it my thoughts went to cornflower blue and yellow flowers, then all that was left was to decide which floral stamp set to use. I decided on the Bloom & Grow set as it already has "clusters" of flowers, so perfect for what I had in mind. After stamping the image I quickly added clear embossing power and then heat set - this creates a border for watercolouring, which was my plan as I wanted to tone down Bumblebee for my design. After colouring and die cutting, all that was left was the sentiment, stamped in Gray Granite then cut with stitched shapes and framed with a scalloped oval, I added a little Champagne Shimmer paint to the flowers, and adhered to the card front. There you have it, a lovely feminine card and not a hint of pink anywhere on the card! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you e...

Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop - All about Florals

I'm super excited to share with you that I'm a Guest Designer with the Creating Kindness Design Team this month, it's such an honour! This month's theme is FLORAL, and if you follow me, you know that flowers are "my thing". The team will be sharing lots of ideas to inspire your floral creativity. I used a Poppy Parade Stampin Marker for the Love ...

Cake Soiree #WWYS160

Welcome to this weeks feature week What Will You Stamp? We are highlighting the Cake Soiree Stampset: I was lucky to be selected to present the Sweet Soiree product suite at the Melbourne OnStage event last November,  and I must say I fell in love with the entire suite at first sight, there was lots of ohhh's and ahhhhs, and even WOW! For todays project I have featured the beautiful flowers and sponged the background using the Sweet Soiree Decorative Masks - I applied more ink at the top of the stencil and "faded" it out towards the lower part of the card so that the sentiment would have more pop. Speaking of the sentiment, isn't the combination of fonts just divine! The mixture of upper and lower case of the script is just stunning. The stitched Shapes thinlets combined perfectly to edge the oval too - I love detail these framelits add. I sponged Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and touch of Berry Burst to create my flowe...
