Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Meg Loven

Hello, and welcome to the last Crazy Crafters Blog hop for 2018, our special guest today is Meg Loven from the United States. Meg has been a demonstrator since 2002, and was ranked #10 in the US for the 2017 Stampin' Up! year, such an honour to be hopping with her today. I visited Megs Pinterest board, so many lovely projects to choose from, and eventually decided to CASE the below card  - the shortened front panel with decorative edge caught my attention, I like doing something that is a little different to the norm! Here's what I created featuring the You're Inspiring stamp set from page 31 of the Occasions catalogue. The stamped image is stunning, the detail and fine lines is just amazing, I was like "wow" that is gorgeous when I stamped it! I stamped the larger flower image multiple times, using post it notes to mask so I didn't overlap images of the foliage. Them it was to the trusty Stampin' Blends for colouring, I love colourin

Up & Away with Party Panda

One of the things that I love about Stampin' Up! is how easy it is to mix and match  stamp sets and framelits to create a project. Today I've combined products to make my scene with one of the adorable Party Pandas (free stamp set with Sale-a-Bration this year) Believe it or not I got the inspiration for this card from a storm warning I received on my phone! I stamped "the balloons that got away" by masking the panda then lengthened the strings by hand drawing them. Using a dauber I lightly sponged Soft Sky around the panda and balloons - remember when sponging less can be more when creating your effect. Lastly I stamped the larger cloud from the Lift Me Up set and then die cut with the Up & Away thinlets, then layered the clouds to complete the scene. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . You can al

Petal Palette Sneak Peek

Welcome back, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready for the New Year.... and the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration on January 3rd! My employer has shut down between Christmas and New Year, so that means time to play with lots of new goodies, starting with the new Petal Palette, a gorgeous set with brush stroke style imagery. Aren't these flowers just divine, and with coordinating framelits this card was a breeze to create - no fussy cutting required at all! I got my "colour therapy" using my Stampin' Blends , they are my current go to when colouring, and this set's rustic feel is so forgiving when colouring, I also added a little Wink of Stella for some shimmer on the flowers which looks stunning combined with the Glitter Enamel Dots . After die cutting with the Petals & More thinlets I used dimesioanls to layer my arrangement, tucking the smaller flowers under the larger bunches, creating height and dept

Stampin' Dreams - What's your favourite DSP?

Welcome to another Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month our theme is all about DSP - Designer Series Paper. I'm sure you have a favourite DSP, I'd love to hear what it's call, and also if you are a "collector" or if you can cut into your paper with ease! I would have to say I probably fall into the "collector" category, hahaha - so many of the Stampin' Up! papers are so beautiful, I really do find it difficult to cut into them, but once I convince myself to make that first cut, it's all good - I almost feel relieved because now I have an excuse to use a whole sheet! That being said here is my current favourite DSP, it is form the upcoming Occasions catalogue available January 3rd (or now if you are a Demonstrator). The pack contains 12 sheets with hand-painted designs in a mix of birthday and floral imagery, and one side of the paper features specialty silver foil! Isn't it just gorgeous! This is just one of the patter
