How time flies, I can't believe it is the last day of this years Sale-A-Bration event!   I found these half completed cards this morning, and quickly finished them to show you the gorgeous Lots of Lavender set - it is a 2 step stamp set, the first is the outline, the 2nd being beautiful watercolour like stamping, and being photopolymer it is super easy to line up and achieve stunning results. I've used Powder Pink and Perfect Plum with Old Olive for these 9.9 cm note cards, and I couldn't go past the sentiment from One Big Meaning - I think it is my favourite thank you sentiment.  I got a little adventurous and added a "ruffle" with Finely Woven Ribbon behind one of the sentiments, I'm still deciding which card I like best - what do you think? Welcome to today's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with the amazing Janet Wakeland - you are such an inspiration Janet, I love your crafting, and your stunning photograpy - my favourites would be your eagle photos, and of course Teague & Marburg, they are so entertaining! I chose the below card for CASEing today, I was drawn to the layout, and the weather background. Now for what I was inspired to create!  I created my background using the Hardwood background , inking in both black and Rich Razzleberry, to create a weathered look I used the "splatter" stamp (that's what I call it anyway) from the Touches of Texture stamp set, applying in Pink Pirouette and 3rd generation Rich Razzleberry, then I lightly sponged the edge with Rich Razzleberry too. Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Mikaela Titheridge from the UK. I have been a long time follower of Mikaela, love the retreat/workshops, and her projects, well... WOW. Chosing a project to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit was hard, as there are so many of Mikaela's creations that I love! I decided on the below card, I was drawn to the colours and the technique - Ghosting: I've not tried the Ghosting technique before, I must admit I was intrigued! In a nutshell, this stamping method requires you to first stamp with White Ink, then when it is dried stamp your colour over the white image, but slightly off setting your stamp so that you create a shadow as well as a white line.  I decided to use Swirly Bird as it is a photoploymer set and it would be easy to see where to stamp my colour once the White Craft ink was dry, here is what Mikaela's card inspired me to create: I was a little scared when stamping with the craft ink, h...

I had an unexpected surprise with a Saturday delivery this weekend, I had been eyeing of a few challenges, and decided to break out one of my new bundles this afternoon and completed two challenges! I adore the colour combination from INKspiration02, and also incorporated Krista Frattin's gorgeous layout.        I swapped out Krista's square for a circle, and instead of vellum embossed the background and attached to layers of Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron. Instead of a horizontal strip, I wrapped the Succulent die cuts around my circle. I also did some double or shadow stamping for the sentiment from  One Big Meaning ;  first I stamped Soft Sky then off set ever so slightly with Wisteria Wonder. I love the effect the Stitched framelits add to a project, and they combine beautifully with the scalloped framelits from  Layering Circle Dies Oh So Succulent is amazing - it is a 2 step stamp set, whilst it is very detailed ...

Do you have a fear? Is that fear cutting into your beloved Designer Series Paper? My project today was inspired by an incident when I was leaving work I have a extreme phobia of snakes, I can't even look at a picture without jumping out of my skin; so when I realised that there were live snakes outside the exit to work this afternoon I was beside myself - they were contained but I could still see them and they were moving, and I was terrified! A work colleague saw my distress (and lack of colour in my face) and blocked my view and talked to me so that I was distracted so that I could get past the snakes and to my car, I am so thankful. Enough about that fear, onto happy thoughts.  I love DSP, but to cut into a piece - oh my what a challenge, and in another way a fear! Welcome to What will you Stamp, this week we are showcasing Ghoulish Grunge.   This set has some amazing backgrounds, and they can be used for so much more than just Halloween, just look at my project - nothing Ghoulish about it at all! How amazing is that brick background from Ghoulish Grunge , I love the rustic feel. I've also used 3 of the 2015-2017 In Colours for my project, Tip Top Taupe for the background, with  Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder, then added a pop of So Saffron for the yellow using the amazing Botanical Builder Framelits Dies  to create my flowers.
