Snow Place Gift Box

I have been working on ideas for small treat boxes for my daughter's class for end of year gifts; how cute is this Bakers Box!   I can't help myself with the amazing Snow Place Bundle; I just love the little penguin on a mound of snow, so when I saw this weeks Case the Designer challenge at GDP012 I knew exactly what aspect I was going to CASE: I have used the Baker's Box framelits for and cut a window panel  and set with vellum - why go to the trouble of doing a window panel?  When all the sweet treats are gone you can pop in  a battery tea light and you have an adorable ornament - see the yellow glow, that's from the tea light I hope you have enjoyed my project today; I would love to update you when I create a post! Double Step Card Template

I have received some requests regarding my Double Side Step card that I posted in the Crazy Crafters November Blog hop - I modified the measurements so that t he basic card is made from half a standard Australian A4 sheet of cardstock as per below : You can adjust the width of the side panels, I did my Blog Hop card at 1 1/4 "; I have done a previous card at 1" and probably wouldn't go any thinner than that. Mountain fold at 1", 3 1/8" & 6 1/8", and Valley fold at 2" & 4 1/8" to create the steps - the fold on the edge of the card at 4 1/8" is a Mountain fold, below is a side view of a completed card (I have added an extra piece of 3" x 4"card stock on the back of this card - see completed card) When you have done all of your folds, hold the bottom edges together and run over with a bone folder.   I t can be a little tricky on your first attempt, but persistence  pays off - It is well worth it, I have ha

Peaceful Pines | Sweet Sunday #296

I just love the versatility of the Peaceful Pines Bundle, so many options to decorate trees of different sizes The inspiration for today's card comes from the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge I originally chose one of the other stamps for this card for the larger tree, but I forgot to use my embossing buddy, and when I put the powder on the sentiment I could see that detail wasn't clear; so I salvaged the tree by layering the smaller tree on top, you can just see the edge of original stamping.  The smaller tree has the trunk t rimmed off and embossed with the gorgeous Christmas  lights stamp - I really love how this turned out, funny how a "disaster" can turn into something wonderful! The gold circle is also embossed, and the snowflakes are from the Softly Falling TIEF.  The sentiment is from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set - again, your embossing buddy is a must for this, hard to believe it can make such a difference, but it does!  And I wou

Wonderland Whites

There is something special about the Pines in the Wonderland stamp set - so peaceful....   The trees are stamped of 3 times using Black Archival ink (without re-inking) to give dimension, I wanted a subtle effect so I have layered with piece of vellum. I embossed the back layer with the Softly Falling TIEF - I love how this brings the focal image and background together then wrapped with gold cording.  The layers are popped up on Dimensionals.   The sentiment is also from Wonderland set, it embosses beautifully. If you really like this stamp set don't hesitate - it is a retiring item and only available while stocks last. The inspiration for this design comes from the sketch sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches: I hope you have enjoyed my project today; I would love to update you when I create a post! Hello and welcome to this months Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, come join the fun and gain inspiration from our projects featuring "My Most Used Stamp Set".  Drumroll........ ta dah I fell in love with the Snow Place stamp set when I set eyes on it - so versatile, you get to pick and choose how you dress up your little snow buddies  with the Snow Friends Framelits dies and create unique characters - mix and match with all of their accessories.   Remember- if you purchase the Snow Place Stamp set and the Snow Friends Framelits as as a bundle you save 15% These little guys are just so adorable!   They are so easy to stamp and cut and you can dress them up or down to your liking, I think they make  for the perfect 3-D card, below I have used them in a Double Side Step Card To create this cute scene I embossed using the Softly Falling TIEF, added layers using cut down ovals to create the mounds of snow and co-ordinated with Peaceful Pines: Here are some

Say it with Hearts

Welcome, today I made a card for a very special someone, not for any particular reason, just to let him know When I saw the Global Design Project this week, it was the Heart that took my eye: I have taken the design quite literally, the squares are popped up on dimensionals and I also raised the sentiment. My husbands favourite colour is Blue, I used the small heart from Tin of Cards to create the background by stamping off 3 times before re-inking in Marina Mist, I then went over the lighter hearts with Heat & Stick powder then added Dazzling Diamonds. The sentiments are from You're So Sweet, I used masking to create the "I", and I just love my new white embossing powder.  I used the banner as an arrow, and edged with Dazzling Diamonds.  I finished the inside of the card using the heart thinlet and underlaying with Marina Mist. I hope you have enjoyed  my project today .   The You're so Sweet stamp set can be purchased by

Butterfly Basics | MM422

Welcome crafters, today I have given my Butterfly Basics stamp set another work out!   The inspiration for the layout is from this weeks challenge at Mojo Monday Colour Combo Todays card features the Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla . Techniques I have double stamped the centre piece using the Stamp-a-ma-jig with Blushing Bride then Rich Razzleberry stamped of once so that it would blend rather than overpower.  I stamped of the ferns too. I finally decided on sponging for the square layer, using Blushing Bride then edging with Rich Razzleberry. I also layered the "stripe" for a little more depth.  the Birthday sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Below is the inside of the finished card, repeating the stamping off technique. Whilst I have only used the stamps today, don't forget, Butterfly Basics is available as a bundle (stamps and framelits), and better still you save 15% when purchased as a Bun
