Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Paula Dobson

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, today we have the super talented Paula Dobson from New Zealand joining us special guest! What makes today so great is that we get to CASE a project and hop along with Paula - Awesome! We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. The full blog lineup below will help you move along to see all the projects. I  so love Paula's style, I spent quite some time viewing her amazing work, then I found it, here is the card I decided to CASE: There are so many aspects of this card I adore, the colours, the sunset, the layers, but what most drawn to was the sponging technique - I'm normally a clean lines kinda girl, but I really liked the rugged hills and foreground and those sunset layers, what I was inspired to create: I created the mounds of snow by tearing paper, yes you heard right, I didn't cut I, tore the paper! I've used Smoky Slate and Soft Sky for sponging snow using the torn paper as a mask at the...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Dawn Olchefske

Welcome to our mid week Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Dawn Olchefske.  What an honour for us to be CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of Dawn's fantastic projects!  The inspiration came from this card.  Dawn has instructions for making this Shadow Box Fun Fold card on her blog, and I am a sucker for fun folds so decided this was the perfect opportunity to give one a try It's just like Dawn said, these cards are fun and easy to make! I changed things it up a bit and made a winter snow scene for the focal part of the card, I am so excited to share with you how this turned out! I immediately thought of  I card I made a few weeks ago  when when I saw Dawns shadow box, so incorporated the design from the card for my shadow card.   I used Layering Ovals Framelits Dies  to cut the window in the top layer of the shadow box, and also created a small scalloped frame and adhered with the fine tipped glue pen.  Th...

Touches of Texture | #WWYS77

Hello, welcome to WWYS, this week we are featuring the Touches of Texture stamp set: This set is amazing for creating backgrounds and water colour type effects, but today I thought I would try at bit of a CAS style card with clean lines: I've used my favourite technique of colouring with an Aqua Painter, if you visit my blog often you will be familiar with this. what I have done differently on this card is use Clear Embossing powder with my black ink, it makes a lovely shine for that something a little different on you card - the gorgeous sentiment is from the limited edition Thoughtful Branches  set. I went a bit crazy once I started using my Layering Squares Framelits Dies , and oh my I just love the new Foam Adhesive Strips  - they are a little thicker than Dimesionals, so it was really easy to create these layers The flowers reminded me of gerberas (or happy flowers as I call them), I decided to step out of my pink comfort zone an...

Thank You Thoughtful Branches | GDP048

I'm back visiting the Global Design Project to Case Designer Tanja Kolar.  I was inspired by the layout and balloons in the middle of her card. Here is my card, it turned out very unlike what I first envisioned, but I couldn't be happier! As you can see I have swapped the balloons on Tanja card for the beautiful tree from the Thoughtful Branches  Bundle.  I added texture to the edges of my card using the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder  - this embossing folder is just amazing. I used Sponge Daubers to selectively add my inks to the stamps on both the foliage and the gorgeous sentiment also from Thoughtful Branches - such a beautiful font. I am so happy with the colour blending, especially on the sentiment it really pops! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . You can ...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Thoughtful Branches

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Thoughtful Branches Blog Hop.  Today we are showcasing the limited edition Thoughtful Branches set, be sure to pop around to view all the wonderful creations from the team. I decided that I would challenge myself with making a Pop Up Z-fold card with the set - I must admit I wasnt a fan of this fancy fold until I saw an amazing creation on Pinterest by Brownyn Eastley, then I just had to give it a go, so without further ado here is my project I've fallen in love with the pine trees in the Thoughtful Branches  Bundle; today I have heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and Dazzling Dazzling diamonds glitter to give a snow touched effect - it doesn't snow where I live but it has been a long cold winter, I would love to see snow and make the cold worth while!  The "rolling hills" stamp gives a lovely effect too, and I trimmed my card stock in line with the hills.   The sky is sponged with Soft Sky, the mask for t...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Tami White

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, today we have the great pleasure to have Tami White as our special guest - thank you Tami for joining us!   Our task - to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Tami's projects. My CASE is inspired by the the below card using Touches of Texture: Whilst yellows and oranges are not my natural colour choice, I do really like the earthy feel on this card. The Bunch of small flowers is what caught my attention, here is my CASE: Touches of Texture  not only has beautiful flowers, but also background sets making it a very versatile set for your collection. I have used Sweet Sugarplum with a hint of Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi for my colours with a touch of Wink of Stella  for a little bling, these colours are so much more me!  The gorgeous sentiment is from Thoughtful Branches, and I am just loving the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies .  Wrapping Silver Metalic Thread  is...

Christmas in July with Thoughtful Branches

I know it is only July, but I just couldn't help but make an early Christmas project with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set - this set is so versatile! I used Layering Ovals Framelits Dies  to cut a mask from paper and laid over my Whisper White cardstock, then stamped the small trees multiple times using Soft Sky then sponged the oval to give a misty, foggy feel.  Then I removed the mask and stamped the larger tree and foliage in VersaMark and Smoky Slate and used Heat & Stick Powder  to heat emboss Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter The Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder  finished of the design perfectly, the sentiment is from Flurry Of Wishes I am also entering this project into SIP challenge 56 See below for details about the limited edition Thoughtful Branches set. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive ...
