z-Fold card dimensions

Time flys when you are having fun..... or when you injure yourself and need lots of rest to recuperate. My back had a nasty run in with a sock, then a mini pizza and then a piece of paper! Long story short, I haven't been able to sit for any great length of time for the past few weeks, so crafting, blogging and keeping up with Facebook and emails has been a challenge to say the least, I am starting to catch up, but still have a way to go! I have had a number of requests regarding the measurements/dimensions of the Lift me up Z-Fold card I created on 20th February - so here you go! In Australia our A4 cardstock measures 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm, I designed the template so that I can make 2 cards with 1 piece of A4 cardstock, and the card will fit in a standard size envelope too! Here is the order in which I applied the above measurements to make the card base: measure up 6.5 cm from bottom left corner, make a small mark measure down 6.5 cm from top right corner,

Dragonfly Dreams | #WWYS108

This week at What Will You Stamp? we are creating with gorgeous Dragonfly Dreams stamp set from page 26 of the Occasions Catalogue.  I adore the font of the sentiments in this set, and those little dots make a magnificent filler or background. I've also used the  coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Dies creating this card. Here are the colours I worked with for this project: I sponged the Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Tempting Turquoise with daubers so that I had soft edges where the colours changed. I also added Dazzling Diamond dots to the edge of the card, this brought the whole card together beautifully. To create the glittering overlay I stamped the dragonfly image onto vellum with VersaMark and applied Heat and Stick powder followed by Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, then cut with the detailed framelit. I used a dauber to apply glue to the mid section of the dragonfly and stuck over the ink image. Check out all the great p

Delicate Details for Blooms & Wishes

Why do weekends always go so quick! Before I knew it I realised it was mid afternoon on Sunday and I haven't done any where near as much crafting as I had hoped, so I've made this quick card for 2 challenges I wanted to participate in this weekend        After almost of week off crafting due to injuring my back I was itching to make a card for CI05 - I absolutely adore the colours, they are so me! So that I wasn't sitting for too long (I've been told movement is the key for my recovery) I decided to #loveitchopit with the Falling in Love DSP as this paper features the colours of the Colour Inkspiration challenge. I've used this weeks GDP sketch challenge for the layout of the card, I dressed up the satin ribbon by stamping Delicate Details and adding Dazzling Diamonds over the Sahara Sand Ink, I repeated with the sentiment. I made this  similar style card a few weeks ago using this lovely DSP and Delicate Details  Thanks for visiting

Hey Chick! for Easter | Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Rachel Tessman

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Rachel Tessman from the United States. Rachel has been a demonstrator for 17yrs, and her blog 'Stamp your art out!' is full of inspiration, I particularly like her "outside the box" projects and her scrapbook layouts.  I was so tempted to CASE and create a scrapbook page, I have so many that I need to complete! In the end I decided to CASE the below technique that utilises the Fine Tip Glue Pen to create a resist image: This is such a great technique that allows you to add sponging to a project without altering the colour of your image, here is my project: The Curvy Keepsake box is one of my favourites, you can dress it up or down depending on your reason for creating a favour/gift box. I used the cute little egg from the Sale-A-Bration set "Hey Chick!" and stamped the lower edge of Curvy Keepsakes diecuts and then coloured with Watercolour pencils and a Blender Pen

Everyday Hero | FMS279

Party time for my daughter today as she went to a birthday celbration with a Superhero theme, the birthday boy really likes the Marvel characters, Ironman was featured on his invitations and cake, and mmmmm, that cake was good! My daughter CASEd the Catty and I also applied the elements in this weeks FMS challenge , It was the perfect opportunity to use Everyday Hero to create a card for my daughters special friend, here is my creation: I took creative licence with the banners, and moved them to one side, in the theme of a flowing super hero cape I curled the banners, you can see here: The sentiment from Balloon Adventures sums up perfectly what  these 2 friends will do in the next 12 mths... Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Stampin Friends Easter Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin Friends blog Hop! I am so excited to be a Guest Hopper this month, I hope that you are inspired by the projects created for this months theme - Easter. Make sure that you work you way through the entire Hop by clicking on the names at the end of my post so that you don't miss at thing! Can you believe that Easter is less than a month away! I really must get a move on with preparation of gifts, here is the first of a few that I need before Easter is upon us: I've mixed some old with the new, my basket of goodies is made using the new Window Box thinlets and the card features the Circle of Spring wreath. The base of the basket was easy to make using the Window Box thinlets. The Hexagon is cut in half and the second diecut is also trimmed to remove some of the bulk, to create the "basket weave" I used the cut outs from the horizontal die cuts and wove them back into the basket and glued in place. I added a half in
