Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2023

Hello everyone, it's a new month, so that means it's time for the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our creations will feature Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I thought this combination would be perfect for a fun masculine themed card, I've used the sentiment from Charming Sentiments . I've used Alcohol Inks (Stampin' Blends) on Vellum for the background - I tried a few backgrounds and picked my favourite - no 2 backgrounds will ever be the same with this technique. I worked out Pumpkin Pie didn't blend well with Azure Afternoon - things got a bit murky! The sentiment is stamped on the card front, with the vellum overlaid - I used a dauber to apply my glue sparingly before placing the vellum so as to not have any "wet marks" from the glue show through. Dry Embossing with Vellum

Welcome to today's Crazy Crafter's Blog Hop. We have Danielle Kassing from the Netherland joining us today as special guest, and I am sure you are in for some amazing creations featuring items for the NEW 2018-2019 catalogue - it's such an exciting time! Our task is to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of Danielle's creations, I chose the below card , I was fascinated with the use of a window sheet for stamping! I was inspired to go outside "my square" and using Vellum as a medium for my project - I've not used vellum much, it scares me a little! I decided I would dry emboss vellum. I used the same Big Shot sandwich as I would normally use, I crossed my fingers as I ran it through and it worked! Now I was feeling adventurous, and decided to Heat Emboss the sentiment form Flourishing Phrases (not my original plan as I have melted vellum in the past), I used the lower heat setting on my Heat Tool, and heated from underneath not ...
