Goodbye Buffalo Check

In the up coming weeks I will be sharing with you creations using some of my favourite stamp sets that have been announced as retiring to make way for the new Annual catalogue coming on May 4th 2021. Today I've used Terracotta Tile with stamping of  Buffalo Check , with a phrase from Fancy Phrases , with die cuts from Nested Stitched Dies, embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder .... all retiring. I also incorporated a sentiment die from Flowering Vine Dies and cluster of gorgeous flowers from the True Love DSP. Orange tones are not my thing, I much more prefer Pinks, but I'm more than happy with the finished Card. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product - Last Chance items are while stocks last, so don't miss out . I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and he...

One for the Boy

I really surprised myself with this card, masculine themed cards don't normally come easy to me. I don't really know what made this masculine card "easy" for me, maybe it was the fact that I used the DSP to determine the colours? Anyway, I'll take whatever it was, because I love this card. For added texture on the heart background I ran it through the Subtle Embossing folder twice, turning 90 degrees for the second pass, creating a crisscross effect. I also raised the outer heart by cutting 2 additional layers for extra height....and partly because I changed my mind from Balmy Blue to Night of Navy, hahaha! I used Stampin' Blends for my colouring, and lastly added some Linen Thread for embellisment. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Dragonfly Dreams to a Wonderful Friend

With our clocks going back 1 hour we had lots of time to get things done today, and there has been a bit of a spring clean in some areas of the house today (even thought it is autumn in Australia!), but that means that a nother weekend is almost over and I will be back to a busy working week, I so wish stamping and paper crafting could be my day job, one day I hope it to be. In between cupboard organisation and cooking dinner I've managed to create a card with the help of 2 challenges - Freshly Made Sketches and Stamp Ink Paper .   The colour challenge had me at Dark Pink, hahaha, there's a surprise... not! My colour selection is Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green for this creation. I stamped the edges with a mix of the colours using 2nd generation stamping (stamping off once on scrap before stamping the card base), and lightly embossed the centre rectangle with the Subtle Embossing folder to give a hint of texture, mounting using a piece...

Bontanical Framed Wonderful Romance

Yes, it's been a number of days since you saw a creation from me.... my new schedule got the better of me and I needed to take some time out to recoup, then when I did walk in my craft room it was a disaster, so then the reorganisation phase kicked in, and at the end of that my mojo appeared and fitted perfectly with this weeks CASE the designer challenge at the Global Design project . Two things caught my eye from Stesha's card, the lovely textured background and the frame effect, he's my creation: Try as I did, I couldn't bring myself to put the frame on an angle... maybe it was from all the organising I had done my crafting space as everything is currently in order, sorted and aligned, hahaha, lets see how long that lasts! My colours were determined by the background Botanical Butterfly Sale-a-Bration DSP, Lemon Lime Twist for the win, and so as not to think too hard I just added another 2017 - 2019 InColor.... Powder Pink. The stamped ...
