Hello stampin friends! This month our blog is all about layers, and I love layers!!! My projects are not strangers to layers, so I took a slightly different approach with my creations for this hop. Firstly a slimline card, I created lots of "adhoc" layers with the clouds cut using one of the Basic Borders Dies, and added more with the "tag" die cuts from the Rainbow Happiness Bundle (retiring at the end of this month). I used dimensionals to add height to the different pieces as I adhered them to the Gingham Embossed card front. I used Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather for the tags.I added Orchid Oasis Twine before adding the last layer of clouds, and silver heat embossed the sentiment, layering the sentiment tag into a different set of clouds to lift it from the others.  I created a standard box and lid for the scented candle, before folding the lid I did a partial die cut of a c...

Hello Crafters, welcome to our 3D Project Blog Hop - perfect if you are looking for ideas to package gifts. I'm dressing up a Pretty Pillow Box - quick to make using the Pretty Pillow Box dies (pg 173 of the Annual Catalogue). I started by die cutting in Basic White, worked the folds and adhered the edges with glue dots. By no means was my Pillow Box "pretty" at this stage, cute, but not pretty! I double wrapped the Pillow Box with Metallic Mesh Ribbon , then tied a bow with Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon . I double cut the small tag from the die set in Polished Pink and Basic White, silver embossing the sentiment from Charming Sentiments . I added Wink of Stella to the Polished Pink tag, then layered behind the sentiment and attached to the Pillow box with Simply Elegant Trim .  Now that's what I call a Pretty (in Pink) Pillow Box! Today we have a variety of projects using the Sweet Conversations suite .  Initially I was a bit stumped at what to create, then I thought I don't need to re-invent the wheel, I'm going to CASE one of my own 3d projects of a Mini Shadow Box Treat Holder from a few years ago, here's my latest version: The finished size of the Shadow Box is 3" square - It's a perfect size to fit a sweet treat of love! And how cool is it that the heart chocolate treat are a match for Magenta Madness , it was just meant to be! I stamped a variety of hearts for the lid and finished with a twine bow. Hello, the Stampin Friends Blog Hop is here for October, our theme today "Thanks/Thankful". I've used the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and Buffalo Check stamp set for my creation.  I began by cutting a Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow wreath, then intertwined them, then cut 3 Crushed Curry flowers. After working out the arrangement I wanted something more, that more was the Buffalo Check, so I stamped in Crushed Curry, but it still wasn't what I was hoping for.....so I stepped up the check to plaid by ruling lines with my Stampin' Markers, that did the trick, tying all the elements together. I trimmed the plaid panel and adhered to the card and attached the wreath using a mix of glue and dimensionals , I also added a little Linen Thread for bling (not all bling shines) and lastly added the sentiment. For the treat box I partially stamped the wreath after cutting with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box , then cut some wreath elements from scraps and threaded through the handle...
