Water washed Tropical Chic

Hello, today I played around with a water washed background, you see, when I saw the colour challenge at the Global Design Project the first two colours screamed Tropical Chic, but then I was stuck, how to incorporate Soft Suede.... the answer, water wash! I love the flowers in the Tropical Chic stamp set , my favourite thing to do is sponge the centre in one colour and add other on the edge, and that's just what I did with Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo, then the hard part, how to use Soft Suede? I knew I wanted a subtle effect, so I decided to try white embossed stamping then water wash over with Soft Suede, that way I could start with a little and add more if I wanted to - I wasn't disappointed, here is my finished creation: I also added die cut leaves using the coordinating Tropical Framelits, and for a touch of bling added metallic pearls Oh, and here's a bonus tip I used making this card - the new Corrugated Embossing folde

Shimmer Spritzing with Swirls & Curls

It's that time again, the Video Blog Hop team is back to share sneak peeks of the Holiday Catalgue with their creations and inspiration with you this month. I'm on a Chistmas theme, and as this is video hop I've combined requests from a previous project to include in the tutorial today, here is the variation of a project I posted earlier this month I'll admit, I am obsessed with everything snow and snowflake when it come to Christmas, maybe it is because we swelter in the heat for Christmas in Australia? My project features the Merry Christmas to All Stamp set and the Swirls & Curls embossing folder, and the hero..... Shimmer Paint, in the form of Shimmer Spritz (that's what I call it anyway, hahaha) This one show the shimmer a bit better - it is soooo pretty in the flesh! Here's today's project side by sider with the original that used the Stitched Seasons framelits (only availalbe til Aug 31st)

Waste not, Want Not with Blended Seasons #WWYS

Welcome to another week of What Will You stamp? , this week we are showcasing the stunningly beautiful Blended Seasons stamp set. My card to day is actually "number 3" in a set of cards I have created, I don't like to waste any of my precious cardstock DSP, so this is made using "extra die cuts" from earlier projects. I embossed some "splatter" in the corner of the card (from Timeless Textures), and layered a piece of cardstock embossed using the new corrugated embossing folder (Holiday catalogue pg 13, available to customers from Sept 5th), I added some foliage die cuts from the set and created a banner for the sentiment. Head over and check out the projects with this set from the Design Team here , we would love you to participate in our weekly challenges at What Will You Stamp? why not play along with this week - We'd love to see what you create!    Here are other projects I've made using this bundle, first
