Welcome to this weeks What Will You Stamp?  Challenge, we have an amazing set for you to show of your creations - Tropical Chic. I was so happy when I saw this set is carrying over into the 2019-2020 catalogue, it's one of my "go to" sets, and I'm always able to  get inspiration when using it. I've also used the co-ordinating Tropical Escape DSP in my creation which is retiring this week :(  The colours in the suite were so me, the good news is that you could easily create your own look alike DSP with the stamps. I used the Rectangle Stitched dies for the stitched edging, making sure that the top edge of the cardstock wasn't resting on the cutting plate when I ran it through the Big Shot. Then I stamped the sentiment, aligning it to the top of the card, then some random background elements before mounting on the card front - I raised it slightly by using a layer of corrugated cardstock. As you might know, this month I have been exploring Designer Series Paper, I must confess, Tropical Escape is right up there on my "love" list, yes it does feature pink, but looking past that it has beautiful tropical elements as well as dots and linear designs for many creations. When I saw the sketch at this weeks Freshly Made Sketches , my mind went straight to the Tropical Chic stamp set , and as it is still July that means DSP in my project, and I opted with the gorgeous repetitive frangipani background for my project to tie in with the TGIF challenge too! I started by using a daubers to sponge So Saffron in the centre of my flowers, and then sponged Blushing Bride on the edge, repeating the process with Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz on the leaves, then cut with the coordinating Tropical Thinlets  - this is one of my favourite techniques for applying and blending colours directly on stamps. You wouldn't believe that this paper is from Tropical Escape , but it is!!! I am so in my element, pink all around! The inspiration for this project is the sketch from Fab Friday When I saw the sentiment frame, I immediately thought of the Stitched Label Framelits - so that was the base for my project, so I thought I may as well use the whole bundle and stamp from Stitched All Around too. With the stamping sorted, I needed DSP as per my personal challenge for July. Pastels came to mind as Stitched All Around is detailed and delicate... yes, my mind went straight to pink, and on the reverse side of Tropical Escape there are gorgeous Blushing Bride patterns, 2 for 2, DSP sorted too! I added a highlight of Crumb Cake for contrast, and to coordinate with the Burlap Ribbon , and couldn't resist adding the delicate/feminine Mini Ruffled Ribbon , and a touch of bling with Artisan Pearls . Hello again, I'm sharing one of my favourite suites today - Tropical Escape.  I particularly like how it is a reminder that winter won't be here forever, as I am longing for warmer nights and days. I decided on this pattern DSP as I liked subtle/washed out effect, similar to when you stamp off on scrap before stamping you project, and it had a hint of pink! Then using the Tropical Chic stamp set I lightly applied ink to the larger leave with a dauber with Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide, then stamped the other leave with Tranquil Tide only. Then sponged the flower with Powder Pink in the centre, with Flirty Flamingo on the edge.  But wait there is more, there are matching thinlets to cut the leaves and flowers - awesome! especially if fussy cutting isn't your "thing".
