Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Shannon Lane

Welcome to Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Shannon Lane all the way over in Canada, you may be familiar with her blog - Crush On Colour Shannon is a member of the Stampin Up! Artisan team, and we have the task to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit one of her creations - how exciting!  As soon as I saw her below project I knew that this is what I wanted to CASE I have had a really tough week, our family has said goodbye to our 16yr old Border Collie, she is now in doggy heaven playing with her friend Sasha.  At first I was going to use the Sending Love DSP to make a frame for one of her photos; then I found a photo of her with a ball..... she loved playing ball, she didn't know when to stop, would just keep playing and playing, it was us they would get tired of throwing the ball! That memory led me to my project, here it is: The photo is from a few years ago when Cleo was full of energy, happy days :)  The spotted Party Animal DSP is s...

Hardwood Farm - #GDP007

Hello everyone, where has the week gone? W elcome to this weeks Global Design Project, here is where inspiration took me:   At first I was stumped at what I could create for: I don't have any farm themed stamps, so I started thinking punch art.... I scrolled through the Design Teams creations, saw Jessica's Barn and yes I had the full idea in my head..... now the problem of how to make a punch art chicken!   I found some amazing inspiration on Pinterest for punch art animals, after many attempts and variations I was finally happy with my chicken!  Her base is created using the Owl Punch, I used DSP that resembled feathers, and cut the heart to make the tail and beak.  A small flower punch for her neck ruffle and a leaf punch for her the top of her head! The little chicks are made from using the eyes, feet and heart of the Owl punch too! The barn is cut using the Baker's Box thinlit die and used the awesome Hardwood stamp...

Punch Art Moose with Merry Monday

I have had the amazing honour of being ask to be a guest designer this week with the team from Merry Monday!  Here is my card: Below is Nina's theme for this weeks challenge: I don't have a moose stamp, so I thought I would give punch art a try, or a variation of punch art as I also used framelits: The moose head, antlers and eyes are made from framelits in the Snow Friends set, I also used an oval die to round the bottom edge of the antlers. The end of the candy cane was used for the white of the eyes and the holly framelit for the tuft of hair. I used the Tree builder punch for the nostrils and tongue, and the small circle from the Owl punch for the eye balls. Sequins attached to Cording trim make up the Christmas lights that my poor Moose is tangled in! The sentiment is from Peaceful Pines. Thank you for stopping by today, and for your wonderful encouraging comments, til next time,   For those that live in Austra...
