It's that time again, the Video Blog Hop team is back to share sneak peeks of the Holiday Catalgue with their creations and inspiration with you this month. I'm on a Chistmas theme, and as this is video hop I've combined requests from a previous project to include in the tutorial today, here is the variation of a project I posted earlier this month I'll admit, I am obsessed with everything snow and snowflake when it come to Christmas, maybe it is because we swelter in the heat for Christmas in Australia? My project features the Merry Christmas to All Stamp set and the Swirls & Curls embossing folder, and the hero..... Shimmer Paint, in the form of Shimmer Spritz (that's what I call it anyway, hahaha) This one show the shimmer a bit better - it is soooo pretty in the flesh! You are in for a treat today, the team at Ink It! Stamp It! are CASEing the Holiday Catalogue - it's a preview of what's to come from September 5th, I can't wait to see what the team has created. I am beside myself with excitement over the new Shimmer Paint (pg 38), it might be a small bottle, but it packs a big punch! I just had to use it on my creation using a beautiful sentiment from the "Merry Christmas to All" stamp set (pg 5) And see that gorgeous swirly embossed background, yep, that it is the Swirls & Curls Textured Embossing Folder (pg 5), I mixed a little Shimmer Paint with Rubbing Alcohol in a spritzer and sprayed on the background = GORGEOUS! The Silver embossed sentiment is a beautiful combination of fonts, and I used the limited edition Stitched Seasons frameits to show case it, lastly I added die cut snowflakes and swirls using the Swirly Snowflakes thinlets with Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon and r...

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our Christmas.  I am in love with the Snowflake Sentiments bundle , today I have a "2d" card with a colour combination of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Island Indigo. I added some bling with silver glimmer paper for the swirls and snowflake die cuts, and "spritzed" a little Island Indigo and Pool Part to break up the Whisper White background. I used sponge daubers to create the ombre effect, starting with the lightest and working up to the darkest on the snowflakes and sentiment - I adore this effect! We're so excited to share our creations with you and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. I've created a project using one of my favourite fun folds - a "z-fold", using the Snowflakes Sentiments Bundle The thinlits give the card lots to detail, and did take a bit of time to put together, but hey if I'm honest I overthink the the placement of the swirls and snowflake sentiments like 3 - 4 times before I stick them down, hahaha!, but I must say every minute was worth it, I am really happy with the finished card. Perfect Plum made the perfect companion for Soft Sky and Marina Mist and I also designed the height of the card so that when it folds flat it will fit in a normal C6 envelope Thanks so much for stopping by.
