Hello crafty people, are you ready for some kewl Stamparatus Techniques, some may even blow your mind and have you saying "I never thought of that!" I have actually been using the Stamparatas alot in the past 4 mths as I have injured my shoulder, and some days it is the only way I achieve a nice stamped image due to my right arm being tired or not being able to move how I need to or control the stamp block. Ok, lets look at the card before we get to how I've used the stamparatus. I wanted to create a watery background and use the seahorse from the Seaside Notions stamp set before it retires.  To make the background I roughly coloured vellum with Stampin Blends using a mix of Dark Crumb Cake &  Light Soft Suede for the sea bed, and Dark Balmy Blue & Light Night of Navy for the water, then lightly spritzed with Isopropyl Alcohol..... and then watch the magic - do one spray at a time, as if you flood with too much alcohol it just ends up being one big mess (yes.........

Hi there, I've got a super quick card today as I was busy with one of my other passions this weekend .... my mini beast is ready to ride again after being  covered for over 12mths - the weather is supposed be nice for the upcoming week and as I'm on annual leave it will be a good opportunity to blow out some cobwebs. I received my Curvy Celebrations pre-order delivery and was torn as what to do - bike or craft!!! It come down to compromise, I needed a battery for the bike, and as that store was only open to midday on Saturday that had to take priority, then once we back I got inky while hubby got greasy, then we cleaned the bikes. I've created a layer with one of the Curvy Dies, then repeat stamped the stars from the Curvy Christmas set; the sentiment is from Seaside Notions  and lastly some Star Designer Elements , before I knew it had a simple birthday card. I had a super full on working week, assistant Rimmer decided that as he was hungry there was no sleep in required! But looking back, sleep is over rated, I'm  so happy with my early morning creation and the early start  my crafting room this morning to start the weekend. I've made the hero of the card the nautical themed Designer Series Paper - Come Sail Away, perfect for a masculine card (which I normally struggle with where to start, but not with this DSP, problem solved. It's the last Friday of the month, that means it's Ink it! Stamp it! time again. This month we are sharing Kids/Male themed inspiration. I will be the first to say male themed cards don't come easy, kid's are a little easier, especially when you have a beautiful stamp set like Leave a Little Sparkle (I can't get enough of that unicorn themed set at the moment) - today I've used Seaside Notions to create an " Under the sea" card. Most males I know like the sea and fishing, and our child has always loved going to the beach, we even started snorkelling  a couple of summers ago, and near the jetty we saw sea horses! To create the raised front I sponged a mix of Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point on a piece of Coastal Cabana, then cut an oval for the peek-a-boo stamped images to be stamped on the Bermuda Bay base.
