It's Time to Celebrate!

It's that time of year again, how quick did December go by, and we are almost at January in no time at all! It's a time to look back and to look forward, with that in mind our Stampers Showcase has a CELEBRATE theme. For me one of the most important things is to celebrate our own achievements - all to often we don't do this and instead focus on other things, but it's important to take time to celebrate our own wins, no matter how big or small they are. For my card today I've used a new stamp set available on January 3rd from the Mini Catalogue called Bonanza Buddies - the set has lots to offer, today only used a balloons and stars, but it's ever so effective. I used first, second and third generation stamping for the balloons and stars, then added some Shimmer Paint and lastly sequins for that touch of bling. This Stamp set has some super cute images with coordinating framelits, including a Toucan, Lion and a Koala - you can&

Itty Bitty Seasonal Layers Shaker card

It's that time again, the first Friday of the month, so that means we are back with the All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop.  I enjoyed making the shaker card so much for my tutorial, so I thought I would make another (not the same as my tutorial), and I also went with a 1 colour theme, this time Purple Posy. To make the frame, I positioned 2 oval dies and held in place with Washi tape, then cut 3 (4 may have been better for height, but hey that's the way things go sometimes), then die cut that was going to be on top, I placed the snowflake die and run through the cutter so that I could "in-lay" the snowflakes (the snowflakes are cut from a separate piece of cardstock). Then all that needs to be done is glue the ovals in place add a die cut window sheet then place the snowflake layer on top then sprinkle some sequins and adhere the oval window to the front of your card. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and added some jewel Rhines

It's a Winter Wonderland with the Stampers Showcase

Welcome to this month's Stampers Showcase Blog hop, this is a group of amazing stampers from all over the world has a Winter Wonderland of Christmas themed projects,  be sure to hop through the full line up below so that you can see all wonderful creations!  I’ve used the So Many Stars stamp set bundle and the gorgeous Golden Glitz Delicata ink for my project. I cut 2 of the "star swirls" and trimmed so they fitted together nicely, then cut the card front layers - 2.5 cm (1 inch) for the sentiment, and 5.5 cm (2 1/4 inches) for above the star layer.   Stamp the sentiment, and smear the ink pad on the card base, then adhere the stars to the star die cuts and then raise above the card base - I use a layer of corrugated card stock to do this. There you have it, a Golden Glitz Seasons Greetings :) Next on the hop is Liz Yuille from the UK  click on the icon below to be taken to her blog, Old Stables Crafts and see her fabulous project.
