#simplestamping with Sweet Songbirds

Hello crafty Friends, I hope you are having an enjoyable Easter. After some catch ups with friends and family over the extended weekend I managed some time in the my craft studio with a per-order item from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue - the  Sweet Songbirds Bundle . The stamp set comes with a coordinating punch to cut your sweet songbird, I used 3 of the new In Colors in my design - stamping with Sweet Sorbet , card base of Starry Sky and a pop of Parakeet Party. I changed my wings up to make the bird look like she is flying, using the "chest piece" as the big wing, and the wing for the background wing. After stamping the musical notes I added some Black & White twine (retiring soon) and some Rhinestone Gems. Both the Bundle and the featured colours are available to customers from 3rd May 2022 - can't wait til then, no problem - if you join you get can get access to these and other pre-order times immediately! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed

Color Fusers Blog Hop April 2022

Hello crafters, welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive & Bumblebee.  I must admit, with the exception of when the 2020-22 In Colors were released, Bumblebee has not been used very much in my colour palette, I'm not really a "yellow kinda gal", and this is what I love about colour challenges, they make you look outside your normal range of go-to colours. I started by stamping the leave image from the soon to be retiring  Free as a Bird  stamp setnaround the edge of the card front, using 1st and 2nd generation stamping to give Crumb Cake a variation of shades. Then for the background I applied a light layer of Bermuda Bay with a Blending Brush, then overlaid with the Dot Mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Mask set and applied another layer of Bermuda Bay, before moving the mask and applying Bumblebee to create a dappled sunlight look. I also added a little Craft White to soften som

So Sweet of You

Howdy crafters, I'm having a crafty day - designing a cheese board layout for a friend, and some card making - all in all a great way to spend a Saturday! I'm giving some of my soon to be retired stamp sets some love before I pass them on, and on this sunny afternoon Sweet Strawberry got inky: I decided on to combine 2 sentiments from the soon to be retired Sweet Strawberry set, not only to convey my thank you message, but to also let the recipient know it really touched me with their kindness. This card really pops with Real Red, Just Jade and So Saffron, and the Abstract Beauty DSP really brought all the elements together. I finished by adding some sequins and twine bow - I'm going to miss this twine when it retires. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, i
