Rainy days - Playing in the Rain

We all have them in one way or another - rainy days, it can be hail storms, or it can be more subtle, but one thing for sure when you reach out to a friend they will appreciate to hear from you. I'm playing along with the CC&S challenge this week with Playing in the Rain , I took some liberty with the colours as 2 of the colours are retired and no longer in my stash, but Bubble Bath and Old Olive do make lovely substitute. I've used a mixture of Stampin' Blends and Blending Brushes to colour my cute little rabbit, adding the clouds with Dimensionals for extra height. For the pop of colour on the left of the card I've used the 2023-2025 6x6 DSP, with a strip of Bubble Bath, just a little to make a statement but not overwhelm the design, amazing what a little bit of pattern can do to lift the look of the finished card. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used

Hello There, Darling Details

Hello my crafty friends! I've created a slimline card using the Darling Details bundle - the dies in this set are super cute, having such pretty detail for the borders they were just a "must have" for me. With the help of some washi tape and careful die positioning and use of my die cutting machine, I had my frame in 3 passes of the large decorative border die - I just took my time and thought through what I was doing to extend the size to fit my slimline design. I used a mixture of first and second generation stamping for the flowers and leaves, then die cut and positioned, finishing with a sentiment from the stamp set and a touch of bling with Iridescent Pearls. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog

All Star Fresh as a Daisy Video Class Bundle

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the Fresh as a Daisy suite from the Annual Catalogue. The All Star  Design Team not only design a project that’s exclusive to the Video Class Bundle but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. Unlike my video which features water colouring, I've used simple mask and stamping today. I cut a mask with with plain paper of both the daisies, then stamped along the edge - I started at the bottom, stamped, then positioned the mask, then stamped the larger flower, positioned the mask, rinse and repeat til I filled the edge of the card. I added Gingham Ribbon and some Glossy Dots for a touch of bling to finish todays card - I was surprised how quickly it came together! Fresh as a Daisy Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is more inspiration

Color Fusers Blog Hop June 2023

Hello everyone, it's the beginning of a new month, so that means it's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our creations will feature the new pink - Bubble Bath, the returning Pretty Peacock, and Pool Party. I decided on the pastel approach, I began with creating my background with a paper stencil cut using the cloud die from Basic Borders , working from Pretty Peacock to Pool Party and finishing with Bubble Bath towards the bottom of the card, moving the stencil a little each time so as to not have identical clouds in a line. I was excited to try a creation with the Beautiful Balloons Bundle - I traced the outside edge of the balloon die then blended each colour, leaving the right hand side a little lighter, the inked up the "detail" stamp for the balloons just on the left and stamped.  Once die cut, I then stamped the ribbon and sentiment, before mounting the balloons with Dimensionals . Be sure to continue on through the rest of t
