Weathered Hardwood by Gorgeous Grunge

I've been experimenting with a shabby chic style today, using Hardwood background stamp trying to get a weathered effect, I'm quite happy with the effect some sponging and Gorgeous Grunge has had on this project today   The idea to try a weathered, shabby chic effect came about when I was contemplating how I could use the lovely colours in Pals Paper Arts challenge this week - inspiration comes from the oddest of memories,.... I had a flash back of a weather wooden seat. I've used a base of Very Vanilla, I stamped the ink off of the Gorgeous Grunge  and randomly stamped, then I stamped over with Hardwood  using Crumb Cake and sponged the edges.     Now I had this lovely background, I incorporated the lay out from CAS(E) this sketch       I knew I wanted to have a butterfly as a feature - Butterfly Basics bundle  is great, 3 framelits to choose from, and keeping with the weathered look I incorporated another of the stamps from this bundle to c

Flowering Fields | GDP028

I'm playing along at Global Design Challenge with Flowering Fields this week.  This is one of my favourite Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, and paired with the matching Wildflower Fields DSP makes for a stunning combination This week we get to CASE Jessica Williams from Australia who is on the Stampin' Up!® Artisan Design team. The first thing that struck we when I saw this weeks challenge was the adorable double bow, then the stripes, the layout, well pretty much everything come to think of it! I have been known to be bow challenged in the past, but since I got my hands on a Bow-Easy that has all changed, so the bow had to be a featured element on my card.  I've used the Stamp-a-ma-jig  to stamp the flowers so that I could place them where I wanted (I actually find this stamping quite therapeutic), then to create my stripes I have used It's My Party Desioner Series Washi Tape . I added the little butterfly to the sentiment from One Big Meaning  - j

Happy and Bright | What I Love

I felt like making something happy and bright today, these flowers are from the Sale-A-Bration set "What I Love" - it's only available til March 31st!   The main flower in  a "3 step" stamp, today I have only used 2 of the stamps - I think gives a lovely casual water colour effect, and it is so simple, just 2 stamps!  If you're not familiar with this type of stamp view the video below.  I'm really happy with the delicate little flowers too - they add to the bright and happy feel of the card.  The sentiment comes from Petite Pairs available in the Annual Catalogue. I've used Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush for my stampin, here's the inside of the card Whilst it isn't spring in Australia the Paper Players challenge was also inspiration for this card Thanks for visiting today, I would love to update you when I create a post! Thank You So Much Perfect Pairings

What are the two words that can so easily brighten someone's day, put a smile on their face, make them feel appreciated - Thank You I have used 2 of the sentiments from Perfect Pairings, and as this is intended for someone who has helped me with so many things, it seemed perfect to repeat stamp and combine the 2nd sentiment. Perfect Pairings one of the FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set that is only available til March 31.  This fantastic set has 9 sentiments that can be mixed and matched to create just the perfect wording for you project. I've also used Gorgeous Grunge   for the background with Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.  I couldn't help but add a touch of bling with Metallics Sequin Assortment   Thank You - what an awesome theme from Global Design Project this week.   I'm also taking part with Stamp Ink's Pater sketch challenge.  Thanks for visiting today, I would love to update you when I create a post! Kinder Mini Bunny Easter Treat Carton

I've been busy making Kinder Cartons with It's my Party Designer Series Paper for Easter treats  This box is custom designed to size for the mini Kinder Bunny. I also designed it so that you only need a 6 x 4 inch piece of cardstock or Designer Series Paper - which means you can make 6 from one sheet of 12 x 12 - awesome! I used the  Simply Scored  to make the carton, and the little window is punched with the 1-1/4" Circle Scallop Punch . The sentiment is from Circle of Spring Here is a tutorial of how to make this carton: I hope you have enjoyed today's project and tutorial.   I would love to update you when I create a post! Flowering Fields with matching Wildflower Fields DSP Envelope Liners

Have you ever had the best made plan or intention only for it to elude you?  Well, I do!  I had every intention of making matching envelopes for my Flowering Fields Thank You note cards that I posted on Friday, then I just simply forgot all about making them!  Never mind, I went to use one and that is what prompted me to remember - so here they are: If you love coordinating items then you just fall in love with Stampin Up!  Not only do inks and cardstock match, but there is also lovely Designer Series Paper too! And with the Envelope Punch Board  you can make any size envelope and liner for you hand crafted cards. Wildflower Fields DSP is a free item during Sale-A-Bration, and it perfectly co-ordinates with the 2014-2016 In Colours   I used some Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi in addition to Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.     I love how the DSP pattern matches this stamp - talk about coordination, who could ask for more
