Hi there, I promised that I would show you more from my class last weekend, this card focuses on used dies, or in this case a border die to dress up your z-fold. I've used the Birds & Branches Bundle with Blushing Bride, Soft Suede and a touch of Crumb Cake. After cutting the z-fold base, I then lined up the border die to the diagonal cut, and created the decorative edge - I needed to do 3 cuts with the border die to get the pattern across the full length of the card.  How different does it look compared to using vertically on the edge of a card, a definate WOW factor in my books. Next was stamping the birds, using Soft Suede as the main colour with Blushing Bride body and then Crumb Cake on the wings. After cutting the decorative cirlce image for the front of the card, I used my Layering Circle dies to cut it firstly to a circle then layerd a whisper white circle under the Pear Pizazz before mounting on a scalloped circle. What a week! Yesterday was our last day in our COVID lockdown - a perfect way to send the afternoon running an online class in Kylie's Crazy Crafters, it was so much fund and so nice to see so what everyone created. My class was focused on making a z-fold card, and particpants could use any stamp set or bundle of their choice - I started by showing how to create the base, and we went from there. My first card was all stamping, no die cut elements, I used the Fancy Phrases set with Blushing Bride and hint of Sahara Sand. I simply stamped the inside of the card and the middle section of the back, then scored and folded, then added the sentitments. And the best thing, it fits in a standard C6 envelope for posting! So 2 days after our 6 day lock down was announced, the update at midday today was that restrictions are being lifted, we could go outside for exercise today, and as of Sunday we are back to where we were at on Monday last week - slightly more guidelines in place than the weeks before, but never the less alot more "normal. Schools are open on Monday and I will be back in the office So, in light of the update, what's more fitting than celebration with a cocktail! I created my ombre backgound of Mango Melody and Flirty Flamingo to match the cocktail drink in the main image, then highlighted with Basic Black borders and card base.
