A Little Note with Best Dressed

It will soon be the time of year when we say goodbye to some old In Colors and hello to 5 new colours! Today I'm creating with one of the 2018-2020 In Colors that will be retiring soon - Lovely Lipstick, of the 5 in the 2018-2020 collection this would be my favourite.... no surprise there as it is a lovely gorgeous pink variation. I've paired the Lovely Lipstick card stock with the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper, and it just pops! After white heat embossing the sentiment on a strip of card, I added Frost White Shimmer Paint to the Delicate Lace border and to some of the flowers in the DSP too. Stock up on all things 2018-2020 In Colors while you can, re-inkers, paper, ribbons - if previous years are anything to go to stocks won't last long after the retiring list is announced. Peaceful Poppies with all my heart

It's that time again, the monthly All Star Blog Hop, and inline with our new format all the projects will feature the Peaceful Poppies Suite! I decided to highlight the gorgeous Designer Series Paper in card today, yes... I actually cut into the paper! #loveitchopit For some extra detail I added a layer cut with the Delicate Lace Die, and then embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder, then again with the Corrugated Embossing Folder to give it a gathered effect. Once I had the layered panel complete I wrapped Ribbon from the suite around it along with some Metallic Thread, then mounted it on the card base, lastly adding the sentiment also cut with a Die from the Suite. It's a crazy thing called LOVE with Stampers Showcase

With Valentines Day fast approaching our Stampers Showcase theme this month is ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. My project is a look at the city of Love..... Paris - I'm going to be there later this year, and on my wedding anniversary!  We didn't get to have a honeymoon, so the next best thing is to be there on that special day a number of years later, I'm so looking forward to it. I started by stamping the Eiffel Tower, and using the stamparatus positioned the line of  fleur-de-lis. Next I stamped the sentiment on Real Red, then layered on a piece of Basic Black that I'd cut with the Delicate Lace dies. I wrapped Silver thread around the bottom of the Real Red 3 times and created a bow, then adhered to the card base. I cut 2 Amour sentiments and adhered together before attaching to the card front and lastly added some Rhinestone Jewels. Next on the hop is  Stephanie Nash  from Canada, click on the icon below to be taken to her b...

Bloom with Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper #GDP207

Do you love Designer Series Paper? Are you secretly a collector.... you know, the paper is just to petty cut to into? Well, you are not alone there, but here's a tip - it's even more gorgeous when you do chop into the paper and create! This week’s “Bloom & Grow” theme at the Global Design Team challenge , was perfect for me to cut into another sheet of the GORGEOUS Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I've combined the floral design with a Delicate Lace die cut and sentiment from Butterfly Gala - I was going to add a butterfly but decided on a Bird Ballad Trinket instead, and I love it! Have you taken of the wonderful Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series paper sale? Don't miss the sale ends September 30th. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. If you live in Australia and don't already have a demonstrator I'd love love to be yours.  ...
