Contrast for Garden Impressions

Spots and stripes are contrasting and look great together, so why not flowers from Garden Impressions with stripes, I decided to give it a go, here's what it looks like: The  Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder  not only gave this project stripes, but embossing them also gave it texture. I didn't want the sentiment to be too large, "hello" from A Big Thank You was perfect for what I had in mind. And you know me, I need a little bling... so I added a Gold Thread Bow and some Artisan Pearls to the floral banner. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. Pretty in Pink Garden Impressions

Woohoo it is the weekend! I was hoping for some sunshine after a few miserable cold and wet days, it hasn't rained, but there wasn't much sunshine, bring on spring! So to brighten things up, I grabbed my Garden Impressions DSP - its full of bright colours. I decided to have a hit of Melon Mambo and created the card below: The central die cut and sentiment are from the Stitched All Around bundle , the delicate edges and stitch lines made them one of the first items on my wish list for the new cataloge, and how gorgeous is the font, may be a little quirky, but I cant resist it with the flowery accents, I think it looks rather special! I added a layer of vellum to create a contrast to the stark white and pink combination, and lastly a little bling with Silver bakers twine and Rhinestone Jewels Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Friends with Garden Impressions

It's week 2 of July and I am still going strong with my personal challenge of using Designer Series Paper in every card for July! Yay me! Today I have another creation using Garden Impressions , I will admit this paper has really grown on me - I wasn't a fan to begin with, but I am converted! I've used a basic layout for this card, with no embellishments (oh my, am I ok?) well I might just count the embossed stitching line as an embellishment (phew, that feels better, lol). Pacific Point with a signature pop of pink in the form of a Melon Mambo layer coordinate beautifully with this pattern - bright colours like this do tend to scare me, but I am loving this card, and that I has me out of my pastel comfort zone. I decided this sentiment from " A Big Thank You ", was just perfect with the floral DSP, and I like the simplicity of the font in this design too. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tu...

It's your Day!

Hello, and welcome to today's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Linda Cullen from the USA, you might be familiar with her blog Crafty Stampin . Our task is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) our special guest, I've choosen Linda's project below: I was drawn to the deep coloured embossed background and die cuts, with a highlight of DSP - here's my project: I've used Shaded Spruce for the card base and background of this card. The Layered Leaves Embossing came up a treat  in this gorgeous green. My sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous is stamped on a Stitched Label framelit , layered on top of a detailed die cut from Petals and More , with a Rose Metallic Thread bow. Like Linda, I've used Garden Impressions DSP , I opted for a design with a pop of pink (no surprises there really!), and layering on Melon Mambo like the detailed die cut, which looks stunning with soft Sea Foam. Thanks for visiting today,...
