It's your Day!

Hello, and welcome to today's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Linda Cullen from the USA, you might be familiar with her blog Crafty Stampin . Our task is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) our special guest, I've choosen Linda's project below: I was drawn to the deep coloured embossed background and die cuts, with a highlight of DSP - here's my project: I've used Shaded Spruce for the card base and background of this card. The Layered Leaves Embossing came up a treat  in this gorgeous green. My sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous is stamped on a Stitched Label framelit , layered on top of a detailed die cut from Petals and More , with a Rose Metallic Thread bow. Like Linda, I've used Garden Impressions DSP , I opted for a design with a pop of pink (no surprises there really!), and layering on Melon Mambo like the detailed die cut, which looks stunning with soft Sea Foam. Thanks for visiting today,...

Happy Birthday Sun and Moon

It's a weekend full of celebrations and parties, with my daughter having 2 parties today and it's Father's Day in Australia tomorrow. What 10yr old doesn't know about Pokemon? My daughter "educates" me all the time, about the evolutions, all the names, basically everything there is to know, so with her upcoming parties she ask for some cards, I said ok what type of card? - what I should have said have a look at the stamp sets and lets design something together.... because she ask for a Sun and Moon Card for her friend! She kindly suggested to create the card similar to the promotional card we received when we purchased a plushy for a present, here is what I came up with: The easy part was the sentiment, the Happy Birthday thinlet is just amazing, so quick and easy to use, and then you layer 2 colours on top of each other you create a shadow effect, now for the rest of the card! I used the masking technique to divide the card and create the s...

Happy Birthday Gorgeous | #WWYS123

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are showcasing Happy Birthday Gorgeous, new to the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue This set has so many images and sentiments, you are spoilt for choice! I felt like making a bit of a girly card, so I've focused on the pretty floral images for my design I've been feeling a bit under the weather, fighting of a cold before it takes hold (fingers crossed), so to perk me up I've used some of my favourite colours - pinks (of course) and purples. The flowers are a 2 stamp process, the outline and the background colour, being photopolymer it is easy to line them up, and there are also little points/arrows on each of the stamps too (can't get much better than that).  I combined Berry Burst and Blushing Bride for my pinks, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder for purples, and Peekaboo Peach with So Saffron for the yellows, with Wild Wasabi for the greenery.
