Welcome to What Will You Stamp? This week we are highlighting the Happiest of Days Stamp set. I adore the whimsical font, and hand drawn images in this set - it was one of the first items to go on my wish list in the Occasions Catalogue. I went with a "pink" combination today, Pink Pirouette with Copper, and the focal sentiment looks superb heat embossed! I lightly coloured the flower and gave the leaves a hint of colour before cutting with my most used framelits - the Stitched Shapes framelits . Next I created my own background by stamping the floral image over and over, Pink Piroette on Pink Piroette - yeah, I just can't get enough of anything pink! To carry the copper element through the card I wanted a fine layer, but alas not copper foil sheets, never fear - I cut a layer using the cardstock from the sentiment and Copper heat embossed the edge, waste not, want not as my mother would say. Hello and welcome the the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Martha Groeger from Germany. I will be eternally grateful to Martha as she is responsible for pushing me out of my comfort zone to create videos in the "Enjoy the Little Things in Life Design Team". I was torn as to what to CASE from Martha's blog Cookies Craft & Co , partly because those foodie photos made me hungry and I had to go grab a snack, but I too love creating packaging, I finally decided on a card, inspired by this CAS design to again go out of my comfort zone. As much as I love CAS cards, I struggle crating them - basically I don't know when to stop, and before I know it I have gone past CAS, and I think I may have done that again..... I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set , and stared with the sentiment in the middle, and added flowers from the centre, diagonally towards the edge, before I knew it I had lots of flowers, probably it few to many for CAS... ...

After catching up with friends for brunch today, I had some "quiet time" and decided to break out the Brusho powder for a play. I must admit, the "randomness" that comes with Brusho does play on me, but there is also the wonder of Brusho! Hello and welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop, this month we are going to share a technique with you.  After a lot of contemplating, I decided a background technique using Sponge Brayers, here's the finished card: I adore the ombre effect you can achieve using the sponge brayers, a tip I would give is "less is more", slowly build your colour, you can't remove the ink once it's on your card, but you can always add more! The other reason it took me so long to decide on my project was that I was pondering over which retiring products to use - several of the items on this card will be retiring on May 31st. I used Shimmery White Cardstock for the background, it looks gorgeous in real life, try as I did, I just couldn't get a good photo of the shimmer. My colour combination is Island Indigo, Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum - all retiring colours, likewise the Butterflies Thinlets and the sentiment from Watercolor Wings - I so do ador...
