You Make me Smile #WWYS203

Welcome this this weeks WWYS , its a showcase of Coloful Seasons this week, I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has created. Colouful isn't quite the way I would describe the season that is in full swing in Adelaide at the moment, only one word comes to mind..... Hot, Hot and HOT, we had 4 days over 40°C in a row, one day my car even greeted me with 45°C when I left work at 5.30pm, and this week coming isn't looking too much better either. I was so tempted to use snowflakes on my card (secretly hoping it would drop the temperature hahaha), but decided on flowers after looking at my beautiful  indoor orchid that is managing to survive the heat. I used my favourite technique to create the 2 tone flowers, using a dauber to sponge the darker Flirty Flamingo centre over the Petal Pink base, and likewise on the leaves with Soft Sea Foam highlighted with Pear Pizzazz. I love that this set has coordinating framelits (no fussy cutting) and...

Introducing Wonderful Romance

The working week is upon me, and much to my dismay I didn't get much crafting achieved over the weekend.... I did spend a day shopping in search of shoes, but that is another story, and it didn't have a happy ending for my wardrobe, but did for my credit card, lol. Speaking of shoes, I do have a thing for them, some would possible say a "romance", so when I had no luck with a shoe purchase, I opted for the next best thing, stamping! and used the Wonderful Romance stamp set for the first time (Wonderful Romance with me and shoes, there is a description, and lets not get started on handbags,  hahaha) The lay out of my card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge , I really enjoyed the square shape: After Copper embossing the design on my mini note card, I applied Mint Macaron and Highland Heather with an aqua painter, then die cut before sponging a little Crumb Cake on the edges. To continue with the rustic theme, I ruffed up...

All about Love with Stampin Friends

Hello Friends,wWelcome to the first 2019 Stampin Friends Blog hop. It's great to be back hopping with the group...especially with all the beautiful new stamps and products available in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue, not to mention the Sale-A-Bration, January is a fabulously crafty time of year!  Our theme is month is "All About Love", I immediately thought of hearts, and I was lucky enough to receive my order containing the Meant to Be Bundle just in time to be able to create for this theme - here's my Love inspired creations: I did have a couple of change of plans with the projects, mainly being due to be spoilt for choice with gorgeous heart stamps and oh my.... the coordinating Be Mine heart framelits, so many to choose from. I finally decided on the floral edged heart stamp, as it had a coordinating edge stamp, which was perfect for the gift box in my project. A Diamond Box seemed perfect for this months theme, after all, diamonds are assoc...

Celebrate with #GDP171

Wow, what a crazy weekend, I haven't accomplished much of what I set out, but after way too many hours I finally have a new phone, and have it all set up (fingers crossed anyway), I'm sure it's not supposed to be as hard as the day I just had with phone providers! So now I get to craft, yay! and I found that the way I'm feeling right about now is very much reflected in my card, and also for the theme for the Global Design Project   Here's what I've created: I used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits for the first time, soooo many sizes to choose from in one set, and double stitching! A great way to create a frame for your design... I am in love! After I got over my excitement of the framelit frame, it was back to stamping, the 3 tone sentiment was created by first masking the lower portion of the stamp so that only Celebrate would be inked, then using a dauber, sponging with Pinapple Punch first, then carefully applying Lovely Lips...
