Inspired watercolour with Falling Flowers

It's been a long tough week, but I finally got some crafting mojo happening!

I was scrolling through Facebook and was inspired by Maria Willis after watching her video tutorial of this gorgeous card.

I took heed and used Archival not Memento ink for my watercolour experiment - water colouring is a bit of a nemesis for me, I love cards I see, but I so struggle with the "randomness" of it!

My project wasn't as adventurous as I hoped it might have been, but it is a start, and I am happy with the "random" background behind the flowers. I'm also feeling a little more comfortable with the technique - as they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day" so I will keep persisting and working on it!

I added some droplets of water using embellishments for a touch of bling, and used my daughters favouite 2016-2018 In Color for the Emerald Envy card base. The gorgeous sentiment is from the new Love What You Do Stamp set - LOVE, LOVE LOVE this set, and it is currently available in 3 different Early Release Bundles (each with a FREEBIE) so you don't have to wait til June to order.

    1. Thanks Denita, I was hoping to go with more bold colours, but went with more subtle colours so I wasn't totally out of my comfort zone
