Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Jay Soriano

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Special Guest Blog Hops. Jay Soriano from the UK is joining us today and we've all selected a project to CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit). You can see all Jay's wonderful creations at Mitosu Crafts

Jay has lots of wonderful creations as well as instructional videos, I decided to CASE this card:

The streaks of light gave me an idea for a Christmas in July card, here's what I was inspired to create:

I used the emboss resist technique stamping the large star with versamark and clear embossed.  Then I created my "streaks of light" from the centre of the star.  I also stamped smaller stars from the Star of Light stamp set with versamark to create the Night of Navy background - this is a great way to added interest to the background of your card.

Be sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! You are currently on my blog, Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot , check who is below me and that is where to head to next! Thanks for hopping with us.

  9. Your card is absolutely stunning. Can you elaborate on how you made the streaks and did you use Soft Sky for the streaks and cardstock behind the star? Sorry for the questions but I really want to create this card for my Christmas cards this year. Thank you.

  14. I love this card. I've been thinking of what I wanted to for my Christmas cards and I knew I was doing Night of Navy, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer paper. But, that's as far as I got. I'd be proud to case yours and Jay's card for my Christmas cards. I honestly am just seeing these beautiful rays. Here's where I need your help. How did you make them?
