Bloom & Grow Around the World

Thanks for joining me today as I join the Stamping Around the World Design Team for their January Blog Hop as a guest designer.

If you are not familiar with me, here's some "crafty Sue facts"
  • I love PINK! You never would have guessed, hahaha, no give away with my Blog name or colour!
  • Flowers tend to be my thing - I find designs with florals come naturally to me
  • Did someone say layers? I love layers, I really struggle with CAS cards
  • Bling, you can't have a card without a little touch of bling!
  • I'm a DSP hoarder,.... I know, I know - amazing things can happen when you actually use your DSP, making the first cut is the hardest, after that I'm usually OK

I used the Bloom & Grow Stamp set for my tutorial, and today I have another project made with this set to show you.

As I mentioned, pink is my favourite colour, so I couldn't go past adding Melon Mambo to my creation. I've used Watercolour pencils to colour the image, and a blender pen.

I added a strip (scrap) of Melon Mambo to the edge of the card front, and layered the die cut images over the the top using Mini Dimensionals.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment, using this tool means you can "double stamp" and get a nice dark crisp image, lastly I added a touch of bling using the Noble Peacock Rhinestones..... Melon Mambo of course!

This set has a variety of floral arrangements, and gorgeous sentiments, and has coordinating dies, the possibilities are just endless. But wait there's more, save 10 % when you purchase as a bundle, AND during Sale-a-bration this purchase will earn you a FREE product, WOOT!

All Star Tutorial Blog Hop

Not only is today the monthly All Star Blog Hop, but it is also the launch day of Sale-A-Bration and the Mini Catalogue, wow what a busy day!

Do you ever get caught up in the detail, and before you know it hours have past and all you really wanted was a quick card? That is me all to often, but today card came together quickly and it's perfect for a masculine birthday event too!

Who would have thought with just a strip of Birthday Bonanza Designer Series paper, a sentiment from Bonanza Buddies (from the new Mini Catalogue) you could have a gorgeously masculine card in a jiffy!

I raised card front layer using some corrugated embossed cardstock for a little mow impact, the DSP is adhered directly to the card base, here's the side view

Lastly add some sequins to celebrate the happy day = card is complete!

Yes, it's a simple design, but less can be more on some days, hahaha (I don't have many of those days when it comes to card making).

Say it with Stars... Happy Birthday

I've had a crafty orientated day today in between weekend household chores, after delivering catalogues, and in between multiple loads of washing & cooking I played with part of my So Many Stars bundle..... being the Stitched Stars dies (23 in the set, spoiilt for choice, woot!)

These dies were perfect for the Global Design Project theme this week:

I started by stamping my birthday sentiment, then placed 3 of the star dies (the 3 smaller detailed stars) in position and ran through the Big Shot, then re-positioned and worked by way along the edge of the card, cutting 7 in total - perfect for a rainbow of colour.

I used 2 of the stitched stars to cut the colours, then placed them behind the card front and popped up on dimensionals, lastly mounting the card front on a Thick Whisper White card base, and there you have it, a fun Children's birthday card!

Delicate Lace with Magnolia Lane

Well hello Saturday! What a long week that was, so happy to creative today, it feels like it's been ages! To get me in the mood I went to my favourite challenge blogs for some inspiration, and I chose this sketch:

For today's creation I've mixed some old with the new - Delicate Lace edge dies with Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. I decided to turn the sketch on the side, it seemed to show of the lovely flowers better.

This DSP is just gorgeous, a mix of floral and stripes all using a beautiful colour palette - yes, it did have me with pink, but honestly if you replaced pink with a purple or yellow it would still be an amazing DSP.

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. If you live in Australia and don't already have a demonstrator I'd love love to be yours.
