Hi there crafters, today our blog hop has lots of tips and examples using FRAMES. I'm going to show you how I do a "freehand frame".
Firstly I like to use a stamp set that has nice "lines" used in the images, if the images are a freehand style all the better. I'm using the Happiness Abounds stamp set for today's card.
I start by stamping the image, then using die as a frame I trace the outline around but not through the image. Now we get to the freehand part, I find smaller frames easier (but that might just be me as I have tiny hands), you will need a fine felt tip pen for this. Draw lines next to the traced outline, I usually do 2 freehand frames, making a total of 3 lines. Then I add some "zig zaggy squiggles" to the frame and it's done!
All that's left to do is colour your image, I used Stampin' Blends - Light and Dark Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Parakeet Party, outlining with Light Pool Party. I added speckles of Pool Party with my Stampin' Write Marker and light speckle of Basic Black. I added some freehand lines to the leaves and a touch of bling with Glossy Dots to finish.
I also made this short video showing the process of the Freehand Frame:
