Today is the day, FMS205 gave me the inspiration to use the "Wonderland" stamp set for the first time.
As you can see from the Rita's sketch below, it was a great opportunity to showcase the beautiful pines in this set, and the sentiment fitted perfectly across the top of the card.
I couldn't find any Gold Foil sheets (note to self, add to next order), so instead used gold embossing powder on the edge of plain cardstock to create the gold banner layer. I used the Softly Falling TIEF as the card just needed something to give it a little lift - I'm pleased with the effect, not over the top but just enough. Whilst not traditional Christmas colours, I think it is a lovely combination with Basic Black on Whisper White with Gold.
Thanks for visiting today,

DeleteLove a Christmas card in black and white - those pines look so dramatic and the sentiment above them is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you Claire, I don't usually use these colours, but was really happy with how it turned out
DeleteElegant and simply perfect for Christmas! And the sentiment on the top is brilliant for the sketch. Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
