Party Wishes with Cup Cakes #GDP021

It's probably not a surprise that I like Pink, but how adorable is this colour combination for a Cup Cake card!

I've been waiting to try out the Party Wishes bundle, and after seeing Kylie Bertucci's icecream card cup cakes were calling!

I tried lots of different options, I stamped them in individual colours, used the masking technique to mixed up the "icing" , but in the end I opted for Pink on top (what a surprise). No fussy cutting cup cakes required, the Party Wishes bundle has that covered with Punch!  I also used the masking technique to get my plate stand.

I love the look and feel of the Hardwood background stamp - I think it's just perfect for this design.  I stamped using Versamark - you could call it a cheat, but imagine lining up all those panels for the roof! I sponge daubers on the edges using the relevant ink for added depth. The base of the stand is popped up on dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Cottage Greeting set available in the current Annual Catalogue.

Thank you Brian King for this colour challenge over at Global Design Project - it's so bright, colourful and full of cheer (not to mention I adore Melon Mambo)

I hope you have enjoyed viewing my fun cup cake card; below are the products used:

All Star Tutorial Blog Hop

Not only is today the monthly All Star Blog Hop, but it is also the launch day of Sale-A-Bration and the Mini Catalogue, wow what a busy day!

Do you ever get caught up in the detail, and before you know it hours have past and all you really wanted was a quick card? That is me all to often, but today card came together quickly and it's perfect for a masculine birthday event too!

Who would have thought with just a strip of Birthday Bonanza Designer Series paper, a sentiment from Bonanza Buddies (from the new Mini Catalogue) you could have a gorgeously masculine card in a jiffy!

I raised card front layer using some corrugated embossed cardstock for a little mow impact, the DSP is adhered directly to the card base, here's the side view

Lastly add some sequins to celebrate the happy day = card is complete!

Yes, it's a simple design, but less can be more on some days, hahaha (I don't have many of those days when it comes to card making).

Say it with Stars... Happy Birthday

I've had a crafty orientated day today in between weekend household chores, after delivering catalogues, and in between multiple loads of washing & cooking I played with part of my So Many Stars bundle..... being the Stitched Stars dies (23 in the set, spoiilt for choice, woot!)

These dies were perfect for the Global Design Project theme this week:

I started by stamping my birthday sentiment, then placed 3 of the star dies (the 3 smaller detailed stars) in position and ran through the Big Shot, then re-positioned and worked by way along the edge of the card, cutting 7 in total - perfect for a rainbow of colour.

I used 2 of the stitched stars to cut the colours, then placed them behind the card front and popped up on dimensionals, lastly mounting the card front on a Thick Whisper White card base, and there you have it, a fun Children's birthday card!

Peony Garden All Star Blog Hop

Happy Friday and welcome to the new look All Star Tutorial Team. Today we have more projects featuring the gorgeous Peony Garden Suite.

After a few crazy busy weeks at my not so 9 to 5 day job, some colour therapy was needed; I find colouring relaxes me and helps me unwind, how about you?

I used light & dark Highland Heather & Old Olive Stampin' Blends, then added Light Pool Party around the edge of the images - all the time using the Color Lifter to help blend the colours to my liking.

To finish I added a strip of Basic Black cardstock and some black ink splatters. Continue through the list below to see more creations from the design team:
