Another busy week, the school holidays and Easter are upon us. I took some time out this afternoon and revisited the fun Birthday Fiesta stamp set with my daughter - she coloured the most amazing Llama and made a banner whilst I made my project for this weeks Global Design Sketch challenge.
I had forgotten how bright and cheery this set is, I was even inspired to use Crushed Curry - not one of my "go to" colours, here is my creation:
I used a mixture of colours for my stamping, including Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder that are retiring on May 31. I used the Festive TIEF to create the embossed panel and layered on top of the flowers and cacti with a little PopPom trim.
I also stamped the inside of the card, I hand drew the lines around the banners to bring the effect together with the water coloured Llama
Last, but not least by any means, here is what my daughter created :) She used markers to colour her Llama, I love how she went to the effort of creating shadow lines, and coloured so perfectly within the lines

ReplyDeleteSuch a bright, fun card Sue! The stamped patterned piece is fantastic and the little pom pom trim really ramps up the fun feel. And we love your daughter's beautifully coloured Llama and banner. We love you playing along with us at the Global Design Project!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE LLAMA! I will miss her dearly. You and your beautiful daughter have created masterpieces. I have a confession - Crushed Curry is one of my fav colours. xx
