I have received some requests regarding my Double Side Step card that I posted in the Crazy Crafters November Blog hop - I modified the measurements so that the basic card is made from half a standard Australian A4 sheet of cardstock as per below :
You can adjust the width of the side panels, I did my Blog Hop card at 1 1/4 "; I have done a previous card at 1" and probably wouldn't go any thinner than that.
Mountain fold at 1", 3 1/8" & 6 1/8", and Valley fold at 2" & 4 1/8" to create the steps - the fold on the edge of the card at 4 1/8" is a Mountain fold, below is a side view of a completed card (I have added an extra piece of 3" x 4"card stock on the back of this card - see completed card)
When you have done all of your folds, hold the bottom edges together and run over with a bone folder. It can be a little tricky on your first attempt, but persistence pays off - It is well worth it, I have had so many compliments for this style of card.
