I've gone way outside of my comfort zone today, not only have I cut into a lovely piece of Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper into 6 ready for card fronts, but I also cut one of these pieces so it would make 2 cards, that's way over the top for me cutting into DSP!
How beautiful did these cards turn out, and all by cutting into DSP! I did have a little "moment" when I die cut the scalloped edge with the Seasonal Layers thinlets, thinking oh no, what have I done!
I dressed up the scalloped edge by adding cutting another scalloped edge and applied silver embossing powder, carrying the them of the silver foil to the decorative edge, and also embossed the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases - I love silver and pink as a colour combination. Lastly I added Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon.
And in the theme of flowers, I am submitting my projects in this weeks Stamp Ink Paper Challenge - do you love flower themed cards, check out great creations on show

I know what you mean about cutting your DSP. I feel the same way BUT....since I started cutting mine, I'm using the paper a lot more. Love your cards.
ReplyDeleteI agree Pam, once the DSP cut is made it is easier to then create.

DeleteThese are beautiful cards....while I did not purchase this DSP, I think I can use the Springtime Foil papers.....
ReplyDeleteThere is still time to get this DSP, it's in the occasions catalogue - it's just gorgeous with the silver foil in the designs
DeleteThey are terrific! The scallop came with the Colorful Seasons?
ReplyDeleteGood spotting Margaret, the scallop is from the Seasonal Layers dies that coordinate with the Colorful Seasons stamp set
