Owl Punch - Mojo Monday 407

I had lots of ideas for this weeks sketch, but they just wouldn't come together, so now its Sunday, a distinct lack of 'mojo' and I need to complete a card - no pressure, no stress! After looking at the sketch again this afternoon, having my desk filled with possibilities; it finally came to me, here is my card: The weather here has been awful today, so the natural light was a bit evasive for my photo; but I love the end result of my card. Pool Party and Blushing Bride combined beautifully with Sweet Sorbet DSP, Owl Punch as always is so easy to use, Petite Pairs for the sentiment and inspiration from Celebrate Today - I cut down the size of the 2nd balloon, bit fiddly but worked a treat! Hope you like my take on Mojo Monday 407, thanks for visiting.

Everything Eleanor - Mojo Monday 406

Its been a busy weekend in my crafttoom, when I saw the Mojo Monday sketch this week I immediately had an idea of what I wanted to try using the Everything Eleanor flowers, as I currently don't have anything with a star; here is my card: I wanted to give "fussy cutting" a try, I stamped the medium flower from Everything Eleanor several times, then trimmed down the image on 3 of them, removing slightly more each time until the smallest was the first layer of the flower.  I highlighted the edges with colour then popped them on top of each other using Dimensionals, finally mounting onto the large flower. Here is the Mojo Monday card Sketch that inspired my card: I am really happy with how the card turned out, hope you like it too. Thanks for visiting, please come again soon. Sue

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop July 2015: Favourite Colour Combination

Hi, welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for July You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - MissPinksCraftSpot (Sue Vine) or you may have come from the person previous to me in the list below.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. Anyone that knows me won't be at all surprised to see that Pink is featuring as part of my colour combo!  I have used Pink Pirouette with Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz.  I love the elegance of the "Everything Eleanor" stamp set; I decided to give the "masking technique " a try rather than layering the flowers over the flourish - sticky notes worked great for this!  Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, remember that currently you are at MissPinksCraftSpot - Sue Vine, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list as you don't want to miss out on seeing any of the...

Freshly Made Sketches #194

I have been thinking of taking part in challenges for a while, I thought I would give this one a go.  The inspiration is from Freshly Made Sketches I decided to use the flourish from Everything Eleanor, the sentiment is from Petite Pairs, I tried ribbon, but it just didn't work for me.   Thank you for dropping by Sue

Owl Punch

My Daughter has a birthday party tomorrow for lovely twin girls; I thought what a perfect opportunity to try out my new Owl Builder Punch . I wanted to do the cards similar, but slightly different, so I did the same design with 2 colour themes. My daughter wanted "googly" eyes, she has already been playing with them.  I put some glitter on the body of the Owls to make it "pop" from the background. The punch was incredibly easy to use, cut the cardstock with ease, I hate to waste any paper/card, I was able to use up some of my scraps for the different colours.   Thanks for visiting, come again soon
