Happy Holidays with Stampin' Friends

Hello and welcome to the Happy Holidays themed Stampin' Friends blog hop, I'm sure you are really going to enjoy this months creations. I've used my  Quite Curvy Variety Bundle for my creations - I am loving the dies and adore the font in the Curvy Christmas stamp set.  I created a matching card and ornament - I think they will make lovely gifts for my team members in the office (here's hoping, I'm back in the office in December, after not having any COVID cases for 7mths, we went into lockdown in the space of 3 days). I used 1 sheet of the 6 x 6 DSP for todays creations, a 20cm/4inch square for the ornament, and then used the curvy die on the remaining strip for the card. I kept my card design simple, and letting the curvy die cut and the Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper do the work for me, and simply added the sentiment in matching Cherry Cobbler. I first tried this ornament 2 years ago when I saw it in the Demonstrator Planning Place, I thought it would lo...

Quite Curvy with Pattern Play

Hello weekend! It's a lovely day in Adelaide today, almost too nice to be indoors, I have managed to get inky before making the most of the day before it moves to hot, hot, hot tomorrow - honestly our weather can't decide what it wants to do (we had thunderstorms only a few days ago). I was a little be bit pre-occupied when I entered the studio, I have a class to plan for and I got myself overwhelmed with that and lost my mojo. Eventually things came together, and I made a black and white statement using the stripes from Pattern Play, before adding a floral layer from the Quite Curvy bundle. Eventually things came together, and I made a black and white statement repeat stamping the stripes from Pattern Play , before adding a floral layer from the Quite Curvy bundle , and of course a pop of pink! I die cut the curvy panel then lined up the floral stamp, extending the image by using the small leaf image, then adding the sentiment. I lined up a layer of Magenta Madness behind the ...

Stampin' Up! Quite Curvy for Fab Friday 199

Welcome back Melon Mambo, I've missed you! I'm using the early release Quite Curvy Bundle for today's project and the sketch from this weeks challenge at Fab Friday . I've neglected Melon Mambo since I laid my hands on Magenta Madness, I'm sorry - today you were perfect for the Crumb Cake background as you are not as bright.   I used Stampin Blends to colour the flowers, and did the leaves in Granny Apple Green, when it came to the card stock I substituted in Old Olive, to tone down brightness. Colouring on Crumb Cake did change the colour of the blends compared to on Whisper White (I did expect that to occur). To make the background pop I added texture with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I also added detail of the scalloped edge and a line of "stitching". Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and b...

Sneak Peek...Quite Curvy Variety Bundle

Hi there, I've got a super quick card today as I was busy with one of my other passions this weekend .... my mini beast is ready to ride again after being  covered for over 12mths - the weather is supposed be nice for the upcoming week and as I'm on annual leave it will be a good opportunity to blow out some cobwebs. I received my Curvy Celebrations pre-order delivery and was torn as what to do - bike or craft!!! It come down to compromise, I needed a battery for the bike, and as that store was only open to midday on Saturday that had to take priority, then once we back I got inky while hubby got greasy, then we cleaned the bikes. I've created a layer with one of the Curvy Dies, then repeat stamped the stars from the Curvy Christmas set; the sentiment is from Seaside Notions  and lastly some Star Designer Elements , before I knew it had a simple birthday card. The Quite Curvy Variety Bundle will be available to customers on November 3rd, here's details of what's on ...
