Lift Your Spirits with Best Route

It's been ages since I've joined in on the fun at the Global Design Project , and this week I have made it over and taken advantage of the sketch to continue with my personal challenge of using Designer Series Paper on every card I make in July - so far I've managed 15 cards in 15 days! I took this challenge head on, and also created a masculine card - a nemesis for me, flowers, glitter and bling are much more natural to me, here is what I was inspired to create. The Best Route Designer Series Paper provided the backdrop for the air balloons from the Lift Me Up Stamp set , and I also used the coordinating Washi Tape too! I was surprised how quickly this came together - I have been looking at this paper for the past week with no luck of a creation, and then, bam there it was, yay! Amazing how a sketch can make you see different items in a stamp set or paper pattern. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay...

Up & Away with Party Panda

One of the things that I love about Stampin' Up! is how easy it is to mix and match  stamp sets and framelits to create a project. Today I've combined products to make my scene with one of the adorable Party Pandas (free stamp set with Sale-a-Bration this year) Believe it or not I got the inspiration for this card from a storm warning I received on my phone! I stamped "the balloons that got away" by masking the panda then lengthened the strings by hand drawing them. Using a dauber I lightly sponged Soft Sky around the panda and balloons - remember when sponging less can be more when creating your effect. Lastly I stamped the larger cloud from the Lift Me Up set and then die cut with the Up & Away thinlets, then layered the clouds to complete the scene. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Lift Me Up | #WWYS104

Welcome to What Will You Stamp?  This week we are creating with the Lift Me Up stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue (Pg 10) I have found this set to be great for masculine cards - something I normally struggle with, but it's been a breeze using the Lift Me Up Bundle - the framelits are just amazing to create the detailed balloon, and the clouds.... wow so many uses for them with other stamp sets (I used the clouds in last's weeks Moon Baby card) I've made quite a few cards with his set now, so I changed things up and made a z-fold card for this weeks showcase, here it is! The balloons and clouds work perfectly with the sloping z-fold, her is another angle of the card And that DSP... it's a Sale-a-Bration freebie that co-ordinates perfectly with the Lift me up set! To see all the great projects from the Design Team click here , we would love you to participate in weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? why not play along...

Lift your Spirits | International Blog Highlight

Welcome to our International Blog Highlight for the month of February, the theme this month is "Get Well Soon".  I know when you are not feeling the best it is just lovely to receive unexpected mail from someone - it puts a smile on your face and warm your heart. I've given my Lift Me Up bundle a work out for this card, and also made use a Sale- A-Bration freebie, the Carried Away DSP - love how these products co-ordinate! Here's another view of my "skyline" I do love a fun fold, I love how they create an extra WOW factor in a card. My card is based on an Easel card, and instead of a full panel I fussy cut the DSP for the mountains, then added the balloons and cards.  Best thing is that these cards fold flat to a normal card size for postage to your special friend. I would love if you could take the time to vote for my card at Kylie Bertucci's host page for this blog highlight,- The top ten winners will get to be ...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Valerie Moody

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Valerie Moody. It is such a pleasure to be hopping with Valerie, she has lived my dream - being selected to be on the Stampin Up! Artisan team! and now I have the opportunity to CASE - Copy and Selectively Edit one of her creations - Yay! I love how "clean" Valeries designs are, I must admit I struggle with a CAS (Clean and Simple) card, I never know when to stop, and before I know it my card is no longer CAS! I selected the following card to  CASE from Valerie's amazing work: I love how Valerie has stamped the background of this card to give a water coloured effect - I great way to get the effect if watercolouring isn't your "thing". I also like layered effect of the clouds and the balloon. Here is my take on the design: I used the work of Art stamp set to create my background, stamping off once with Soft Sky before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock. I really like this...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Sandi Maclver

Hello and welcome to the first Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for 2017, today we have the amazing Sandi MacIver joining us and we get to CASE her work! Sandi has so many beautiful designs, after many visits to her blog I finally decided to CASE the following card: I love so many elements of Sandi's card, the Lift Me Up stamp set, the use of vellum, blended background and the layers. Here's my project: I excitiely cut into a sheet of my "free" Sale-a-Bration DSP to create my background, then stamped my balloons in Real Red and Crushed Curry - the detail in these stamps is just incredible, likewise in the Up & Away thinlets. I used the masking technique to stamp my sentiment separately then die cut the clouds and layered using dimensionals.  This is a great masculine stamp set/bundle available from the Occasions Catalogue, and even better the coordinating DSP is one of the free Sale-A-Bration items - what more could you ask for! Thank you...
