Hello, the Stampin Friends Blog Hop is here for October, our theme today "Thanks/Thankful". I've used the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and Buffalo Check stamp set for my creation.  I began by cutting a Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow wreath, then intertwined them, then cut 3 Crushed Curry flowers. After working out the arrangement I wanted something more, that more was the Buffalo Check, so I stamped in Crushed Curry, but it still wasn't what I was hoping for.....so I stepped up the check to plaid by ruling lines with my Stampin' Markers, that did the trick, tying all the elements together. I trimmed the plaid panel and adhered to the card and attached the wreath using a mix of glue and dimensionals , I also added a little Linen Thread for bling (not all bling shines) and lastly added the sentiment. For the treat box I partially stamped the wreath after cutting with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box , then cut some wreath elements from scraps and threaded through the handle...

I've been noticing more and more Easter items in the supermarkets lately.... I may even have given into to my first packet of Hot Cross Buns 😉 And after a request for a tutorial that brought me back to an Easter 2018 post, I got motivated to do my first Easter creation for 2020 (which will also mean I will more than a little prepared when the time comes for Easter treats).  The cute little rabbit is from the Cuckoo for You Stamp set - I stamped it on Soft Suede cardstock and coloured with watercolour pencils. I wasn't trying to get a perfect look with the colouring, it was more an experiment to see how the colours work going over a dark background, and I'm actually quite happy with the result, it has a "child" type quality, which I really like with the stamped image. Welcome this this month's Stampin Friends Blog Hop, it's a "Summer theme" - my friends in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the sun, s ummer feels like it couldn't be further away for me, you see our heater broke 3 weeks ago, I am counting the days til our air conditioning get replaced and I don't need to have layer upon layer to feel "not cold". Summer = Beach = the Seaside Notions stamp set in the new catalogue! I only got it a couple of weeks ago, I'm in loving the hand drawn look of the images, and thought I would put it together with a water colour background. For something a little different I've used clear blocks to create my water colour background - this technique is so much fun and easy to boot too, it's a win, win.
