How quick the weeks go by, it's that time again, a new tutorial and the Design Team Blog Hop!   Have you tried the DistINKtive Stamp sets? They are just beautiful, the detail is amazing, creating a 3D feel to your stamping. Today I've created a non traditional Pink themed Christmas project using one of these sets. How gorgeous is the Iridescent Wreath? When I saw it, I'm sure it ask me to just add Melon Mambo, so I did! The detailed Stitched Label Framelit worked a treat with my design I decided to mount on a Silver Foil edged card. Wishing You Well stamp set has a number of images and sentiments, the delicate font pairs wonderfully with the detailed stamping. I've stamped the "bunch" 3 times, masking using a postit note over the lower stems so they didn't poke out through to the other side of the card.  I ever so slightly offset the Melon Mambo die cut to make the Whisper White stitched labels die pop.  Lastly I added so...

Hello there, and welcome to the last Go For Greece Blog Hop. Whilst I didn't qualify for the Greece trip, I've learnt a number of things through the year, and that made my try some different things.  I also challenged myself to blogging every day for a month something I had never done before, and I'm pleased to say I DID IT - I did have doubts that I would, so that in itself is something that I learnt - have faith in myself that I can do what I set out to achieve..... so Maui here I come! Woohoo it is the weekend! I was hoping for some sunshine after a few miserable cold and wet days, it hasn't rained, but there wasn't much sunshine, bring on spring! So to brighten things up, I grabbed my Garden Impressions DSP - its full of bright colours. I decided to have a hit of Melon Mambo and created the card below: The central die cut and sentiment are from the Stitched All Around bundle , the delicate edges and stitch lines made them one of the first items on my wish list for the new cataloge, and how gorgeous is the font, may be a little quirky, but I cant resist it with the flowery accents, I think it looks rather special! You wouldn't believe that this paper is from Tropical Escape , but it is!!! I am so in my element, pink all around! The inspiration for this project is the sketch from Fab Friday When I saw the sentiment frame, I immediately thought of the Stitched Label Framelits - so that was the base for my project, so I thought I may as well use the whole bundle and stamp from Stitched All Around too. With the stamping sorted, I needed DSP as per my personal challenge for July. Pastels came to mind as Stitched All Around is detailed and delicate... yes, my mind went straight to pink, and on the reverse side of Tropical Escape there are gorgeous Blushing Bride patterns, 2 for 2, DSP sorted too! I added a highlight of Crumb Cake for contrast, and to coordinate with the Burlap Ribbon , and couldn't resist adding the delicate/feminine Mini Ruffled Ribbon , and a touch of bling with Artisan Pearls .
