Hi there crafty friends, today our hop features techniques for water colouring. I'll be honest, back in my school days I was more of a fan of oils than watercolours; but I still dabble with a bit of water colouring here and there with cards when the mood takes me. Today I thought I would try the "no line" technique, I really like projects I've seen, so here's what I managed to do: I stamped the top of image from the  Full of Love  stamp set (I didn't ink up the envelope in the image) in Sahara Sand multiple times, my ink application was a little uneven - maybe a little too dark in places when I review the finished project, and I think it may also have been easier if I had chosen an image with larger flowers for my first attempt too - all food for thought when I use this technique again in the future. Hello crafters, welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Petal Pink, Poppy Parade & Smoky Slate. Now, Poppy Parade isn't a colour that I use much, its quite bright and I'm more a pastel kinda gal. That got me thinking, and I decided to water colour flowers because then I could control how deep or pastel to make Poppy Parade. I started by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Happiness Abounds Bundle onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock , covered with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set. To add colour I first flooded a little water using the mid size Water Painter to the centres of the flowers and where I wanted the colour to be darker, then using the smallest Water Painter I picked up colour from my Poppy Parade ink pad and added to the water, then left to dry. When dry or almost dry I repeated the process to fill the remainder of the flower with Petal Pink, to later cut with the coordinating Blossoming Happi...

It's seems ages since I have played along with any of my favourite challenge blogs - they are a great way to get inspiration if you feel you are lacking ideas, sometimes a glance at a sketch or colour theme just "hits the spot" and your mind kick started with creativity. I've combined 2 challenges in my project today, rainbows always put a smile on my face, and the offset panel in the sketch caught my eye too!                          I started with my rainbow of colour and created a watercolour background using watercolour paper, I was quite liberal with the amount of water I had on the paper, and once my colours had blended I blotted the excess with a paper towel. Such a great name, and very versatile with a mix of sentiments, stripes, flowers and foliage. I went outside my square, and instead of utilising the flowers, I created using the stripes! I opted for watercolour when creating my project, but you could do a simpler version by just stamping. I added Frost White Shimmer spritz to the watercolour paper after my stamping was done, and to add shine to the sentiment I have clear embossed....... I forgot I had black embossing powder, silly me!
