Recently I had a special request from a friend asking if I could make name place cards - of course the answer was yes. After the theme/stamp set was chosen I got to making a sample, and then set up the Stamparatus with the Forever Fern stamps for mass production. Here is what the finished design looked like: I designed the place card so 4 would fit on one piece of cardstock so minimal cutting would be required. I printed the name of the card using a font on my computer, then cut the cardstock into quarters and stamped using 3 different positions/colours (very handy having the second plate with the  Stamparatus ), a mix of leaves in Garden Green, Shaded Spruce & Pear Pizzazz. I manually stamped the little dots, then scored and folded to complete the name place card. I tied them all together with mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim. Hello crafty friends, wow where has the weekend gone? I seemed to whittle the hours away yesterday, but was up early this morning for an appointment, then when I got home I went straight for the studio and combined two challenges for this creation: Colours courtesy of CAS Colours & Sketches and the layout inspiration from the Global Design Project For a while now I've been wanting to give "freehand" lines a go to frame an image, but I've always chickened out, but not today! I'm usually a straight lines & layers girl, but I must admit I do the the randomness of this frame, what do you think? I started with stamping the daffodil image and colouring with Stampin' Blends, then using a 0.2mm Fine Line pen traced the inner square using the inside of a square die, then added the freehand lines around the edge, not going over the stamped image. I used a sentiment from Forever Fern, stamped on a scrag of Basic Black Cardstock, white heat embossed and trimmed, ...

It's the first Friday in November, that means the All Star Tutorial is back to show you more creations - this month with the Forever Greenery Suite.  I was inspired to create my card today after seeing Dena's gorgeous card in this months bundle, it immediately put a smile on my face, so I decided to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) her design. I picked a single stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set, and then stamped it around the edge of the card layer in a rainbow of colours. I used a Heart from the Be Mine Stitched dies  to frame the sentiment. All that was left was to mount on the card base and add a touch of bling with Rhinestones .
