Do you love Designer Series Paper? Are you secretly a collector.... you know, the paper is just to petty cut to into? Well, you are not alone there, but here's a tip - it's even more gorgeous when you do chop into the paper and create! This week’s “Bloom & Grow” theme at the Global Design Team challenge , was perfect for me to cut into another sheet of the GORGEOUS Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I've combined the floral design with a Delicate Lace die cut and sentiment from Butterfly Gala - I was going to add a butterfly but decided on a Bird Ballad Trinket instead, and I love it! Wow! where has the week gone, how can it be Thursday already? Following on from the weekend creation session with my daughter, here is the card. I've used some of the gorgeous Bird Ballad DSP for my background - to dress it up a little I used the scallop edge die from the Be Mine die set. I stamped my image then die cut with an oval stitched framelit and coloured with Stampin Blends, then layered on a scalloped oval and to make it pop added a  plain black oval before adding a cute polka dot bow for bling.  The sentiment and inner phrase is from the Special Celebrations stamp set, I really like the mixture of fonts for this birthday occasion. I carried the scalloped edge and floral theme to the inside of the card too, and mask and stamped the leaves, and added the small one freehand - super impressed with my freehand efforts, even if I must say so myself! Rimmer is growing fast, interesting in everything... including ink pads (there was a near miss with him almost creating a card with inky feet) eating lots, and sleeping too, so I made the most of his nap time and are joining the Global Design challenge with my creation. I like the central strip with the little elements at the top and bottom in the sketch, and made these my main elements. I took liberty and turned the design 90 degrees so I could use some DSP and stamped "scraps".... I hate to waste anything when I create! I added the flourish die cut to compliment the dSP, and by doing in whisper white it's subtle and doesn't over power the DSP. For my touch of bling I used some Frosted Epoxy droplets.
