Hearts Come Home with Northern Lights Candle

Hello everybody, I hope it's not too wet & cold you you (I'm ready for winter to go away), and you are having an amazing day! I'm back today with the monthly Enjoy the Little Things in Life Video hop! Our theme this month is all about "3D projects" and I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has to share with us today. I decided to create something I have been wanting to do for a long time - decorate a candle using a stamp set. I decided to create a Northern Lights Christmas Candle, I hope you like it. I wasn't too sure if the decision to use a blue candle would work, but I liked the scent of the candle and was willing to give it a try, and I couldn't be happier with the end result! I think it will make a lovely gift, but I love it so much I may just keep it as a decoration in my craftroom! The inspiration for the candle came from the Northern Lights Christmas cards I made last year, you may remember them?

Tufted Embossing with DSP!

Welcome to today's Crazy Crafter's Blog Hop. We have Mary Deatherage from Atlanta joining us today as special guest. I must I have fallen in love with Mary's Australian Shepherd Finn - as soon as I laid eyes on him I had a flood of memories of my Cleo, our tri-colour border collie who we sadly said good bye to last year.  Our task today is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) on e of Mary's creations, I was fascinated with the background of the this card - stamping on DSP, just genius! So I got to thinking, if you can stamp on DSP..... why not uses an embossing folder? I am so in love with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder , the effect reminds me of quilting, and looks so elegant. How awesome does the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series paper look with the embossing! I stamped the bunch of flowers on Shimmery White cardstock and used an Aqua Painter to colour with Tranquil Tide, then the background in Ol

Ink It! Stamp It! with Floral Frames & Tufted Embossing!

Happy Friday everyone! It's that time again, the monthly Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team blog.  Our theme this month is the "New Annual Catalogue" squeal! such an exciting time of the year, I can' wait to see what the rest of the team has to share with us. I'm featuring the Floral Frames Bundle and the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder - when I saw this folder it was straight on my wish list, and I'm not disappointed, it is just stunning! I am so in love with Tufted! It adds a touch of elegance to this project, and with such a minimal effort - what more can you ask for. I stamped with 2 new colours from the revamped Subtles collection - Sea Foam and Petal Pink. I stamped first image in Sea Foam, then fussy cut, then stamped the flowers using the indiviual stamps and die cut, adhered, then added a little bow for a touch bling with Silver & Petal Pink Baker's Twine (another item that was straight on my wish list) Thank you

Stampin Friends - I'm wishing for Summer

Welcome this this month's Stampin Friends Blog Hop, it's a summer theme - my friends in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the sun, but I'm rugged up in my "trackie and Uggs" sat in front of a heater - the theme made we wish for warmer weather, and that got me thinking of the beach.....  Now there was no way I was going to the beach when it was 10 degrees, so I started looking at holiday photos, and found a beautiful day at Port Norlunga, I decided to make a 12 x 12 for a photo frame, and later I can transfer it to my scrapbook pages. My background is created using 3 of the designs from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper , I added Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread for a beachy rustic feel. I printed the memory from the day on vellum and cut into a Banner. I carried the Banner theme into my card project using the scraps of the DSP, waste not, want not I say! And see the top of the card, that texture is created with the
