Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello everyone, are you ready for a Crafty Challenge? This month the Crafty Collaborations group has this sketch as our Crafty Challenge. When looking at the sketch and what I could create, I decided to use the Friendly Hello coordinating Designer Series Paper and Stamp set available as a FREE item in Sale-a-bration (available to customers on Jan 4th 2022) The paper made the colour decision for me, Pool Party for the base, an embossed layer of Bermuda Bay , with some Black Glittered Organdy ribbon to soften and add some bling. I love that the images from the stamp follow through onto the DSP. I needed a small sentiment to fit withing the feature circle, and the Thank You from Friends are like Seashells was just right. To add interest to the Bermuda Bay panel I used a Meadow Moments embossing folder , subtle yet not overpowering to remove focus form the stamped bird and DSP. Stampers Showcase - January - June Mini Catalogue 2022

Hello crafty friends, you are in for a treat today with the Stampers Showcase highlighting products from the upcoming Jan-June Mini Catalogue. As a Demonstrator we are able to pre-order items so we can play before the official catalogue launch on 4th January 2022. One of the items in the catalogue that I was excited to try is the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks , whilst we currently have masks, these new ones are designed to be layered on top of each other. I did do some experimentation before starting a card, I found it helps if you have scraps of paper to "mask" other areas on the of the layering masks so that you don't accidently put colour where you don't want it. I used Blending Brushes to apply ink: Flirty Flamingo and Magenta Madness for the flowers, Just Jade for the leaves and Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Fresh Freesia for the Butterfly. The sentiment is from the Friendly Hello stamp set - one of the FREE products available during Sale-

You're as Sweet as a Peach

Hello crafty friends, I hope you are enjoying the festive season and having fun with family & friends. Today I thought I would use a set from the Annual Catalogue, I decided on  the Sweet as a Peach Bundle . To stamp the peaches I firstly inked up with Pale Papaya then added a touch of Calypso Coral with a dauber, the leaves are Pear Pizzazz  with Soft Suede stems. Easy peasy to cut out with the coordinating dies, and I also cut some twigs in Soft Suede to match the stems. I cut a frame using the Hippo & Friend Dies for the sentiment - to raise the inner section of the frame I ran the round end of my paper piercer around the edge of the die before removing the card stock. Using a Blending Brush I added a touch of Balmy Blue to the base before adhering the sentiment and arranging the peaches and twigs. Lastly I added some small dots of Balmy Blue with a Stampin Marker , then some Polished Dots Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for m

oh WOW - Butterflies & Flowering Layering Decorative Masks

After a lovely turkey lunch I made it into my studio this afternoon and decided to open the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks from my Jan - June Mini Catalogue pre-order, after some experimentation I was ready to create this card: I started with the "plain butterfly" using blending brushes to add Calypso Coral to Mange Melody to Polished Pink . Then keeping the butterfly mask in place, I started to add the flowers, using additional scraps of paper to mask areas I didn't want the flowers to show. From my experimentation I learnt that it is best to clean the Masks to avoid transferring colours. Next was the butterfly detail, again using scrap paper to mask over the floral area then applying Soft Suede . I repeated the process to add the leaves in Soft Sea Foam . I added the sentiment from Biggest Wish , and to finish some Polished Dots for a touch of bling. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration
