Miss Pinks Craft Spot

Hello crafty friends, I'm joining the colour challenge at CC&S today - I haven't done one of these for a while, but when I saw pink.....  I'll be honest, I haven't used much Melon Mambo for some time, Polished Pink has been my "go to" hot pink, and Crushed Curry would be one of my least used colours in my Stampin' Up! palette.  I mixed up the stamping of the flowers from the Lovely You stamp set , then cut with Layering Circle dies , and cut a coordinating Scalloped circle. I varied the layout of the circles on the card front to break the symmetry of the card design. Next I cut and layered strips of Melon Mambo and Shaded Spruce to the card base, then attached the card front. The sentiment is White heat embossed, and layered onto scraps of the challenge colours. Hello crafters, welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Mint Macaron, Pacific Point, Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow. I received an order this week and have been wanting to use the Perfectly Penciled DSP , so that was my starting point. I thought about colouring the images on the DSP with Stampin' Blends, but decided not to and let black and white be a feature of the card. I added stripes of Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow to either side of the DSP and adhered to the card base. Next I cut a circle of Mint Macron and overlaid with a Scalloped Circle of Vellum, and stamped and cut the sentiment using the Sending Smiles bundle, bringing in Pacific Point to complete the colour challenge. But I needed another element, and when I scanned through my stamp sets decided that a Butterfly Brilliance die cut would do the trick. Welcome back crafty friends, todays' blog hop is all about Masculine Cards, I for one really struggle with this genre, but I'm happy to say this card came together relatively easily - classic Black & White with gold for the win! I started by stamping a scrap piece of Basic White with the "squiggle" stamp  from the Hello Beautiful stamp set. I positioned the sentiment using the grid on the Stamparatus, then applied with Versa Mark, adding Gold Embossing powder and heat set. To bling things up a bit I added some Simply Elegant Trim, then adhered the strip of cardstock to the card base with Mini Dimensionals. To finish I added the "squiggles" and a sentiment to the inside of the card - and there you have it, a Masculine card! So much easier when I didn't overthink it! Hello and welcome to the weekend crafty friends. Today I'm sharing my design for the latest card swaps I participated in with the Crazy Crafters. I totally lost track of time and needed to create 10 cards in one evening to post the next morning. So it was #loveitchopit to the rescue.... but then as i always seem to do when it comes to swaps, I add elements and detail that afterwards I'm thinking "what was I thinking?" Things started simple enough, a strip of Pale Papaya cardstock and a strip of Friendly Hello DSP . Next I stamped bird image from the Friendly Hello stamp set , then die cut before adding the sentiment from Friends are like Seashells stamp set . Right about now is where I lost my way....when I went to add the ribbon trim I thought "things look a little bland" and began looking over my craft supplies - I know the Bloom Hybrid embossing folder will look fabulous with the floral image from both the DSP and stamp. 10 passes through the embossing ...
