Bloom & Grow from the bottom your heart

Another day, another project - I do like this being on holidays gig, I get to do lots of mid week crafting! Todays card is inspired by the colour challenge at Fab Friday , when I saw it my thoughts went to cornflower blue and yellow flowers, then all that was left was to decide which floral stamp set to use. I decided on the Bloom & Grow set as it already has "clusters" of flowers, so perfect for what I had in mind. After stamping the image I quickly added clear embossing power and then heat set - this creates a border for watercolouring, which was my plan as I wanted to tone down Bumblebee for my design. After colouring and die cutting, all that was left was the sentiment, stamped in Gray Granite then cut with stitched shapes and framed with a scalloped oval, I added a little Champagne Shimmer paint to the flowers, and adhered to the card front. There you have it, a lovely feminine card and not a hint of pink anywhere on the card! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you e

Hello with Forever Fern

Day 2 of the School Holidays, after being out and about most of yesterday and a very late night with "technical" challenges when trying to do a video I felt I'd earned myself a bit of a sleep in this morning, then it was straight into the studio to get inky - the weather isn't so nice today, in fact it just started raining as I do this post. After yesterday's stretch of autumn tones, I needed some "pink therapy", so out came Rococo Rose, Cherry Cobbler with Sahara Sand to compliment using the Forever Fern Bundle. I stamped and die cut the images then worked on the arrangement, lastly adding the sentiment and the splatter dots (yes, that's my term to describe that particular stamp in the set). Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support

Stampers Showcase September 2020

It's almost the end of September, how quickly the month went by, it's time for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop, our them this month is Fall, Autumn, or Halloween. I decided to use a selection of Autumn tones for my feature using the Arrange a Wreath Bundle, I totally adore this set! Now, if you follow me, you will know that yellows and oranges are not my thing, so this was a bit of a challenge. I sponged and blended Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze onto a piece of whisper white cardstock, then flicked with water, which not only gives a lovely effect but also softened those yellows and oranges for me, and Cajun Craze even displays a slight pink hue.... now that's more my colour zone! I cut one wreath, then additional pieces out of the scraps and added to the arrangement to give me detail and dimension, adding Lined Bow to complete, then I continued the blended theme into the sentiment too. I can't wait for you to see all the other inspiration from the new catalo

Dressed to Impress with Just Add Ink #524

Hello crafty friends, I've got a gorgeous slimline card for you today, inspired by the colour challenge at Just Add Ink and my friend Carolina Evans. As soon as I saw these colours I headed to the Dressed to Impress stamp set, and with these gorgeous "me colours" I went with a slim line design so I could stamp a few more images. Isn't the colour combination just beautiful! I haven't really used much (if any) Merry Merlot before, but it perfectly complimented by Rococco Rose and Mint Macaron, there really wasn't much for me to do, except add a little bling, a girl always needs a little sparkle. To soften the card base I stamped the flower with VersaMark ink, it gives a lovely delicate feel to the design and doesn't take you away form the main stamping in the card. I utilised the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the scalloped edge masking the join of the 2 two rectangles with the sentiment dies.  I adapted my slimline dimensions to fit the Australian standard D
