It's a new month, so that means it's time for the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our creations feature Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and the soon to be retiring Sweet Sorbet! Mmmmm sorbet, I will admit the thought did cross my mind to have an Ice Cream when is saw the colour combo for this month, it's been a week where the temperature reached 40 degrees (or 104 Fahrenheit), thankfully it is cooler today - I've been out in the garden trying to keep my plants alive and this morning noticed some flowers on my hanging geraniums..... there was my inspiration for today's design! With a cooling Lost Lagoon DSP background layer prepared I White heat embossed flowers and leaves, (all from the Irresistible Blooms suite) then added colour with a Aqua Painter - Sweet Sorbet flowers and Pool Party leaves. Happy weekend crafty friends, I'm finding my way back to my creative groove after a rough couple of months, so I decided to create with a set that takes me back to what I like designing with..... flowers and the colour pink. I've had this online exclusive set for a while now and it needed some love, I heat embossed the images before adding additional colour with blending brushes to create depth. The flowers are my new favourite pink - Bubble Bath with just a touch of Berry Blast to the centre, and the flowers Soft Seafoam with ta hint of Pretty Peacock. I added 2 of the die cut circles from the Irresistible Blooms suite to lengthen the design for the slimline card, and finished with the coordinating Loose Frosted Dots. I'd grabbed my Irresistible Blooms suite , and was looking at the gorgeous DSP and began to think of a layout, and thought....... I wonder if there is a challenge I can partake in? A  sketch is a great way to get creative, and that is just what I did with this weeks JAI challenge . The DSP was a left over from another card (you can see it here ), and the sketch helped me with where to add the sentiment, and layers, well I just love layers! I used the "speckled" stamp to add interest to the card base, then added the matted layer of DSP. After white heat embossing the sentiment I added similar layer to pull my design together. I added a touch of bling with Champagne Rhinestones (soon to be retiring) to finish. I'm yet to use the green tones of the DSP in this suite, but I think I will venture there on my next Irresistible Blooms creation, so stay tuned. Hello crafty friends, have you seen the Online Exclusives? Well here is just one of the online exclusive products - I've used various items from the " Hello, Irresistible Suite Collection " for my card to show you today, you can purchase the entire suite,or just pick individual items. At first glance it looks like the flowers have been white embossed on a gorgeous watercolour look back ground, but no, the focal image of the card is Designer Series Paper!  Don't you just love how the DSP does most of the work for you!   I used a Deckled Rectangle Die to cut the diagonal edge of the Basic White cardstock to frame the DSP before sponge daubers to apply a mix of Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flaming the sentiment, then added some Loose Frosted Dots to finish - super easy and stunning to boot!
