Amazing Twinkle Twinkle

Hello again! I've been viewing challenges again, and found a great one for my personal DSP challenge over at CASE(E) this sketch Now, I will be the first to admit, CAS cards don't come easy to me, I'm all into details... maybe if is a flow on effect from my day job (so much legislation and rules to follow, all black and white, very little grey area), anyway, enough of thinking about work, here is what I was inspired to create by the sketch: I made this card with someone in mind, and the colour scheme is right up my alley, but a favourite of theirs too, I sooooo wanted to add more elements, but held back! The main thing to say is that this person is AMAZING, so the Celebrate You thinle t was perfect to create the sentiment. I used the new Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins for the first time on this card, the Sahara Sand colour was the perfect accompaniment for the  Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper . Thanks for visiting today, I h...

Stampin Dreams - Happy Easter

Amazing how time goes by so quickly, it wasn't long ago it was Christmas, then School started and before we know it Easter will be here! Have you started to prepare?  I've taken advantage of this months Stampin Dreams Easter Theme to get ahead with some of my Easter preparations by creating this card: The Picnic with You bundle was just perfect for creating the basket, not only is it stamped, but there is also a framelit that creates texture on the woven basket, just like an embossing folder, but a metal framelit- how kewl is that! The eggs are created using the smallest plain oval form the Layering Oval framelits , and poked them into the basket, creating depth by adding dimensionals. Thoughtful Banners  stamp set and Duet Banner Punch came in handy for the banner for the sentiment, and don't you just  love the effect of the  Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background, it's too cute! Thoughtful Banners | #WWYS97

Welcome back to What Will You Stamp? this weeks challenge is the sentiment stamp set Thoughtful Banners located on page 73 of the Annual Catalogue. It is can also be bundled with the Duet Banner punch for a 10% savings! This set has 53 sentiment stamps to choose from and combine to obtain the perfect sentiment for pretty much any occasion, and as the stamps are photopolymer you can "bend" then to fit in the banner stamps too! How many themes can you come up with with these sentiments, here are just a few combinations: Happy Birthday You Amaze Me Happy Holiday Thank You So Much Fabulous Friend that's just a few, I think you get the idea... Now onto my project, I was going to stamp a sentiment in rows to create a background, but l ately I have been making a conscious effort to cut into my DSP - after all we do purchase it to use! So in keeping with that theme, I have used the beautiful butterfly DSP from Falling in Love for the background of my card ...

Rustic Touches of Texture

Today I am sharing a project with you using the Touches of Texture  stamp set.  You may have seen my post from earlier this week , well this card is quite different:    I've used the background stamps on Mint Macaron cardstock to give a rustic style to my card, I just adore the "negative" image of this particular stamp, and also sponged the edges of my card stock for that "old world" feel. I am just loving the effects that can be created with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies  too! I used the below colour combination: My sentiment has been created using the Thoughtful Banners  bundle, there are so many sentiments to choose from in this set, and a choice of 4 different Banners - how cool is that!        Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . You ca...

Emerald Envy for a Number of Years

Green is not a normal "go to" colour for me, I decided to use the new "2016-2018 In Colors" for this weeks Global Design Sketch, and I am so glad I did!  I am just loving Emerald Envy, so much so that I changed up my original plan of a thin strip of Emerald Envy with Whisper White to making Emerald Envy the hero of this card! Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge I'm also entering this card in this weeks Crazy Crafters Team Highlights - click below to vote for me! This sketch makes for a lovely card, and it is quick and easy too - just love it!  I've cracked open my new Thoughtful Banners Baundle  for the sentiment - this set is amazing 53 stamps that coordinate with the Duet Banner Punch I've used 4 of the 5 new In Colors to stamp the flowers from   Number of Years  - they are so bright and happy and coordination is a dream! Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If yo...
