Positive Thoughts with GDP233

What a crazy state the world is in at the moment, I hope you are all well and safe.  I drew inspiration from the colour challenge at the Global Design Project - I've always had a love for pastels, so I just had to make a card for this challenge. This card features the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set, which also has matching Dies, but not for today's creation - I tried a #simplestamping project.  To keep the colours super pastel, I used 2nd generation stamping (inking up then stamping off on a piece of scrap paper, then stamp the card front), a super easy technique that gives a wonder subtle effect *** I feel I maybe went a little past #simplestamping, I added a "bling" factor by embossing the sentiment in gold, then added some ink splatters to fill in the white space, and before I knew it was adding Shimmer Paint to the side panel of the card and had also splattered that to the front of the card too! So for #simplestamping, stop at ***  Here

Thanks | Ink it! Stamp it!

Welcome to this months Ink it! Stamp it! Thank You theme showcase. It's always nice to acknowledge a good deed, and what better way than a card to tell someone how much you appreciate their thoughtfulness. I've inked up the stamp set from the Botanical Prints Product Medley, and I will be honest - I wasn't sure about this set.... but once I stamped I was like "oh wow" and then when I coloured... well, I was sold, the rest is history - I can't get enough of images! I used Stampin Blends for colouring after a full day at work, I find colouring therapeutic, so I also wound down and relaxed while creating. Then I cut the images using the coordinating dies - it couldn't be easier (well, actually it could as there are also pre-stamped and coloured sheets in the Medley.... but that is a project for another day). After arranging the die cuts I stamped the banner, which is also a pre-cut element in the medley, and so too the gorgeo

Botanical Prints Product Medley - let's take a look!

Have you ever seen a product medley, and are not sure about them - today I'm going to show you the  Botanical Print's product medley. I've done a quick clip of the "unveil" followed by my first card - using one of my "go to" designs for highlighting DSP. I have lots of ideas for this medley, the stamped images already have shading, so you already will know where the shadows and highlights are taking the guess work out of colouring, how good is that! Here's a close up of my first project, featuring one of the prints on Terracotta Tile: Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Bloom & Grow from the Bottom of my Heart

I had a tidy in the craft room last weekend, and with a clear space I got inspiration to create.  I adore the font in the Bloom & Grow set, so decided to make a card featuring the bundle. I used Watercolour pencils to colour the image and die cut, then cut layers, using the Subtle Embossing folder to create the background , and highlighted the small flowers by adding a fine layer of Heather Highland. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.
